I used to go to this location often on my lunch break while I worked close by, and it was absolutely packed every time. I would spend my whole hour break there waiting in line to order my food. Thats how popular it was! I didn't even mind waiting because the food was worth it. The burritos are absolutely delicious and so worth the money you spend on it. It is a little bit pricey, but you get a lot of food for what you're paying. The burritos are very heavy! There are so many toppings you can choose from so it's fun to play around with the flavours. I highly recommend trying this place out.
On my Lunch break I decided to go to Burrito Boyz for the first time. I ordered a naked chicken burrito the first time going there, which is a burrito plate not a wrap, my following toppings where: Chicken, rice, corn, tomato, green onion, black bean, avocado, shredded cheese, sour cream, hot sauce and burrito sauce (so good). I was very impressed with how quick i was served and ready to eat. The restaurant was pretty busy, but the employee's had a good system going and great timing. I was surprised at how clean the kitchen was, it is open concept so you can literally see everything. The toppings are laid out for you to choose, and it was very neat and tidy and all looked fresh. Burrito Boyz is vegan friendly as well!! My burrito was really good of course. I have been a loyal customer for months now, i have tried everything on the menu except their shrimp plates/wraps and recommend it to anyone looking to try something new. Their menu is full of different meal choices, aside from their burritos and the prices are really good for the quality and quantity. I'm happy i went, and will definitely be going back for more amazing food.
Susur's Restaurant is unbelievable! It's expensive, but for a special occasion it is perfect. The food is unforgettable, try to signature slaw
I've been eating at burrito boys for years now. It's probably my favorite fast food meal in the entire city. I have cravings for it all the time. When I'm downtown after a night out, I always stop for it even when i'm not hungry. I just can't resist.
I suggest the shrimp burrito, but if you're looking for something lighter - bean and cheese is good too!
Watch out for the jalepenos - they are super spicy. I like hot food and still, I ask for easy on the jalepenos.
I got severe Salmonella food poisoning from Burrito Boyz so did the photographer colleague I was with. We both ate steak burritos at the Peter St. location. I contacted Ian Angus (owner) repeatedly about this, his staff said he got my messages and would call me back, never happened.
DO NOT eat there. I'm going to file a lawsuit, because they can't give people salmonella and not be held responsible.
This was the first burrito that I've ever tasted that could even compare with those from Mexico. I tired a small beef burrito with everything on it, including hot sauce and jalapeno. ( If your not to big on spicy foods, I would recommend trying it without it or just one spicy flavour. ) It was very yummy. Great place to stop by and lunch. A small is perfectly enough to fill you up.
This is a terrific quick lunch if you're starving on a cold winter's day. I recommend going to the original Peter Street location because it has oodles of character.
I first had Burrito Boyz at the Peter Street location years ago and from first bite, I was hooked! Not working downtown for a couple years, I was bummed not having my regular Burrito Boyz fix and was happily surprised when they opened a Mississauga location (a five minute drive from my home!). Now I'm working downtown again and can have BB for lunch and dinner if I want. :P
My two favs are the the veggie soy and halibut (deep fried goodness). If you can handle the heat, go for a line of their own hot sauce in your burrito - it'll definitely set your mouth on fire. The only way they could get better is if they offered whole wheat tortillas in addition to the white stuff.
Mmm mmm mmm.... So I went out tonight and on the way home my friend suggested that we check out Burrito Boyz. I have to say the steak burrito completely hit the spot! It is AMAZING and worth every penny. The small is FILLING, I can't even imagine trying to eat the large size. The vegetables are very fresh and they also use quality ingredients including shredded Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, rice, refried pinto beans. If you are in the area and it's after after clubbing and need to eat something...this is tasty, inexpensive and a burrito experience you will never forget!
I personally love eating at Burrito Boyz. I've done the every kind of late night meal and find this one fills you right up. There are lots of imitators and bad food out there. I have to say these guys are worth every penny.
