100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
I don't fit into the "normal bra stores" so I have to find alternatives which is usually more $$. This store is moderately priced, most of their bras are around $60, but they have sales often, and I usually get a 2-3 bras for around $100 with their sales.
Quality wise-they are not bad, they do stretch out, but for the price it is OK. I have a smaller band (30-32) but a bigger cup (G), and I find their selection is quite good.
Service is great - friendly ladies, not too pushy, but they don't ignore you either.
I would say definitely check out their sales.
I found the bra sizing a bit confusing at first but as long as you remember your size AT THIS STORE you'll be fine. It is not, as someone else said, a gimmick, but rather European sizing. If you ever go to London to shop, remember your "new" size.
I did find the selection limited and the panties a bit granny, but the service was excellent & the prices surprisingly reasonable.
I went to this store on the recommendation of a friend - who just happens to be a very well-endowed woman...just like me. So I thought I would share my thoughts for all your big-boobied girls out there since, if you're like me (42DDD), you know how few options there are to find bras in the city at a reasonable price. I usually resort to cross-border shopping as even stores like Addition-Elle don't tend to fit me well and frankly I find them costly for the small selection and quality.
On this trip, I was specifically looking for a sports bra because I work out pretty much every day, but can't for the life of me, even in specialty stores, find a sports bra that a) fits me without looking completely inappropriate and b) actually provides support with rigorous workouts. Due to lack of product, I basically wear two cotton bras combined for support.
Immediately I found the store welcoming. The staff approached me right away and almost on sight alone, was able to size me. I went in with little hopes of finding something that would fit and be supportive, but managed to do just that. The bra isn't pretty - but who cares? Its for working out! But its really supportive, and literally has adjustable army-grade velcro straps so that you can strap those puppies in...very happy about my purchase. Bought a white and black one at about $50 a piece. Completely worth it.
The rest of their lingerie does come in bigger sizes but it is true that availability is a bit of a problem. They may only get one or two of the larger sizes - so if you find something you like - this store is not one of those places you can walk away from and "think about" whether or not you want to get it. Chances are, it won't be there when you go back. But for women of size, there are lots of options and all at reasonable prices that rival Addition-Elle and the like. They also have bikinis, but alas not in my size...but they said it should be coming soon. Happy Day!
Definitely recommend to anyone.
i got fitted at change and was extremely impressed with their service. the SA showed me very patiently what to look for in a fit and made sure each bra i tried on fitted properly...and i tried on at least 10! she also brought me tees to try on just so i can see how the bras looked under a tight shirt. also, she proved that i was wearing the wrong size my whole life...i am a 34D instead of 36B...crazy! i love the vibe of the store and will probably end up replacing my entire lingerie wardrobe with change lingerie...because they actually fit! finally, no more bra straps falling down!!
Okay so I feel a little conflicted about CHANGE. If there was a rating between You Betcha and Fugheddaboutit, I would choose that one.
Service was good for the most part, bras are well made really nice quality. Not enough variety in styles for me though. And I think some of styles look a little too... matronly? I had a real hard time finding a bra that I really, really liked. I think many of them were a little too lacy, red, excessive in the frills, etc. I saw many different styles of grandma-style laced panties as well.
This is the part that bothered me the most:
When I saw a bra that I liked, I asked the lady if they had it in my size. She said they they were all sold out on that one, and if I really liked it then I could just by the bra that had a smaller cup size and a larger band size. Doesn't that defeat the entire purpose of CHANGE's philosophy, finding a bra that fits you perfectly?! Little bit contradictory there!
They don't get very many sizes either... so if you do find one you love, make sure that they have your size before you get too excited. The lady mentioned that sometimes they only get one bra in one particular style and size. Not exactly very convenient for the customer!
Problem I have is that I think that women need to understand that these sizes are different because they are from Scandinavia. Your cup size will increase and your band size will decrease. Flattering, right? It's like "Omigosh! I lost weight AND my boobs got bigger!" Keep that in mind when you're shopping there, because I still don't think you should "throw away" your old bra size in your mind. This is just a specialty store, and to be honest... I think the "unique" sizing is part of the marketing.
Sorry ladies, but I really had to be honest here.
I was pleasantly surprised by CHANGE. It's a bright, clean upscale lingerie shop right in the heart of Queen St. W. Merchandise is well-displayed and they is a variety to suit many tastes. I had no trouble finding sizes on the racks. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and most of all, friendly and service-oriented. A welcome CHANGE indeed!
