OKAY! SO, the first time i ever went to civello was a couple of years back. I got a haircut by an advanced stylist who supposedly knew Asian hair cause she herself was Asian, makes sense right? Well basically the only thing she did differently being an Asian hair stylist was telling me that all the styles i wanted i couldn't get cause my hair wouldn't comply. She said that it was impossible for me to have side swept bangs because Asian hair is not as light as Caucasian hair. This proved to be not true because i than went to TONY&GUY;and got beautiful side swept bangs. Anyways so the first time i went to civello and got this stylist my hair cut was OKAY. I wasn't totally stunned by it, espically for paying 70 tax and tip but i was in a good mood and she didn't do anything horrible either so i was content.
TODAY i went to get a haircut by Jessica, a stylist, so she was cheaper 60 tax and tip. My hair before i got it cut was at chest length and i LOVED IT. I've been growing it out for a year cause i had it cut up to my chin before and my prom is this year so i forsure wanted to stick with long hair. The only thing was that my hair was dead at the ends and i wanted to get some layers added into it, LONG LAYERS. Doesn't sound SO difficult does it? I first came in and she was prompt to meet me, that was good and than she asked me what i wanted, i explained to her that it was IMPERATIVE that my hair be kept long and if it had to be cut shorter than i would only do an inch (enough to get rid of the dead ends). I showed her a picture that a brought in (my hair before it was cut actually looked alot like the picture just no layers). She looked at it briefly and said "ok" and washed my hair. she wasn't really talkative, looked quite young. I thought she was proberly new but i was willing to give her a chance. She said that she was going to cut my hair dry, so she spent 20 mins blow drying my hair (turned out flat, odd as when i blowdry my own hair it was volume) So she started cutting, and cutting, and cutting, and cutting. and pretty soon i saw her cut HUGE chucks out of my hair. I couldn't help it, im usually composed but my jaw LITERALLY DROPPED OPEN. I told her i was scared cause it looked like she was cutting alot, she said that she was cutting my layers only and that i wasnt losing any length at all. i trusted her STILL CAUSE I AM JUST THAT NIAVE. she snipped and cut here and there, it pretty much seemed REALLY RANDOM. 20 mins later she looked in the mirror and talked to me for the FIRST TIME SINCE THE "OK" and asked what i thought. I didnt think she was serious at first, my hair was flat and didn;t have any definitoon. i meekly said " yeah i like it!".....but said maybe some more layers at the front so she layered my hair a little bit and than VIOLA DONE. MY HAIR WAS CUT 3 INCHS AND I WAS MORTIFIED! BUT i still smiled and said that i liked it. It's not that the haircut is horrible, but WORST IT WAS PLAIN. I came in with sexy long hair that needed some layers and i came out looking like a CUTE 10 YEAR OLD WITH AKWARD MID LEGNTH HAIR (WE ALL KNOW THE AKWARD PART)! I still gave her a 5 dollar tip cause i felt so bad. I FELT BAD! I am STILL FUMING. After she cut it THAN she thought to ask me if it was too short, MAYBE SHE SHOULD HAVE ASKED ME BEFORE SHE CUT IT! WHAT WAS SHE GOING TO DO?! SUPER GLUE IT BACK ON?!?! I am not saying that the whole studio is too blame but i am never going with that stylist again, she seemed new, unsocialble, and seemed like she wanted to get the job over fast rather than make her customer happy. I was not impressered. THE DAY BEFORE V-DAY TOO! I just cant wait for 3 months to go and pray that my hair grows back :(.
