I thought this store was amazing when I was younger then less so as I got older. Their rings turned my finger black and necklace clasps broke all the time. The worst part was that it isn't even super cheap, the difference in USD and CAD amounts always bothered me. The best time to buy stuff is when they're having those sales, you do end up buying more you wanted but since there is so much stuff it isn't hard to find a bunch of stuff you like. I also used to split deals with friends.
Overall it is a cute shop with tons of selection but not really my taste anymore.
Well I live in Miami,FL. And I go to some famous local mall (which I prefer not giving out the name) and it has a Claires in it. One thing I despise about claires is that all the jewelry always goes to waste, I mean 80% of the necklaces, earrings there are made of low quality, plastic or some other material that of course will go to waste in some weeks. They have good variety. Prices errr...don't get me there, I mean who wants to pay $10 for a plastic orange necklace that breaks in two weeks?! Service? well it gets annoying when they follow you around on your backs trying to help you out when you clearly said you are "just looking" but besides that I guess they are all nice and sweet.

I can't bring myself to go into a Claires anymore. The store is so jam packed with stuff that you can barely walk around and look at merchandise without knocking something over! If they would spread things out a bit and make some more walking room around the store I might start shopping there again.
Only place where I can now find affordable hairsticks. Since my hair is waistlength, I need all the help I can get! At $5 a pair, it's a little steeper then what I was use to when the dollar store use to carry three for a dollar (color selection was limited to clear, black and tortiseshell) but Clairs has a much better selection so I'm willing to part with more money. Besides, last time I was in there was a buy one get one half off, so I lucked out! :D
I always end up spending more than I anticipated, but it's relatively cheap so I don't mind. I especially love the sales. I always manage to find fun and funky jewelry as well as work-appropriate accessories, all in the same shopping trip!
loove this store! I hate spending tons of money on jewelry. I always feel guilty. I've told my husband to never buy me jewelry, except of course my wedding rings :P My friend actually offered to buy me my wedding jewelry from a bridal store and I quickly refused. For the amount of time I wear jewelry, theres no point in blowing hundreds of dollars on it. My bridal party (ahem... Nik05 lol) and I all got our jewelry from Claire's. I think all together we probably spent about $100... you cant beat that.... Plus, my daughter's name is Claire lol. Its just a lucky store!
I like Claire's . Being Mrs. Sensitive Skin appearently I have found as long as it doesn't contain nickel ( and at Claire's it will say nickel free) I have foung some really good deals. (Not as good as in the states though)
Claire's is great for accessories! Whether you're looking for something funky, cute, stylish or classy, you can probably find it here. I actually feel guilty for spending a lot on accessories, so I like to head to their 10 items for $10 sale section. The last time I did this, I added up the actual prices of the items I chose, and it came to approximately $100! Talk about a great deal. This was also a great place when my best friend got married. With the large selection, the 3 of us in her bridal party were all able to find gorgeous necklaces and earrings for a great price.
I do agree with everyone else though, I've never had a problem with my ears being sensitive, though I've found the cheaper earrings do have the tendency to irritate my ears sometimes.
i used to shop at Claires all the time, especially in Grade 5 and Grade 6. and i still do because they have nice accesories there. the only thing bad about Claires is the cheaper earrings tend to hurt my ears and/or fall apart easily. but all in all, claires is a great store.
