Pricey for what you get the cupcake is a bit dry expensive for what you get, pretty to look at but that's about it

I visited Cupcakes in Vancouver when I saw it's cute little sign from the sidewalk and it reminded me of the Cupcake Shoppe in Toronto. The cupcakes look absolutely amazing but they just don't taste great. There is nothing wrong with the flavour but I found it a bit dry compared to the Cupcake Shoppe in Toronto. The cupcake itself was less fluffy and more dense, mind you I did like the icing as it was not overly sweet. My complaint is that I felt like there are times where I have bought cupcakes from a grocery store that were equally as good (tasting) all though they did not look as pretty. I won't be returning to Cupcakes again since I just did not think it was worth it and what I saw (pretty yumminess) did not translate in terms of taste.
