I got to try my 1st Cupcake from Dlish as a Birthday gift treat from a friend.
I received the Red Velvet as this is my favourite.
Found the cupcake to be dry and dense & was not moist though the cream cheese frosting was tasty.
It had a natural taste not artificial
Overall it was a great gift & will give Dlish cupcakes another try ( a different flavour) maybe it was just a bad batch I got that day.
I have always been intrigued by the fascination North America seems to have for cupcakes. Coming from Europe, I am more used to chocolate croissant than muffins, cupcakes and other butter tarts. Of course, now that I live in Toronto, and having a major sweet tooth, I enjoy all those different treats, but I particularly have found a new passion for cupcakes. So I try them everywhere I can, giving rates in my heads for their flavour, texture, look and price.
Dlish cupcakes are the best cupcakes in the city. That's it.
If you are like me and could die for a Red Velvet, you can stop looking. The minimalistic, adorable, spotless storefront on Queen West is the absolute stop for the most delicious afternoon treat.
I was naughty and came here for a cupcake with my friend, beauty blogger, Lipstick Powder 'n Paint. I had the dark chocolate which is (obviously) chocolate with chocolate icing and chocolate sprinkles. They have a wide variety of cupcakes that can be purchased as a single or in larger quantities. They have cute little boxes so you could send them to someone as a gift or for a party. I will warn you, they are dangerous! They are absolutely superb. So you will definitely need to head over to Trinity Bellwoods Park after to walk it off. Cupcakes are $3 each, $12 for a box of 4 or buy more and the price goes down from there. Delicious and dangerous but I will be back!
