It's ok...

I like shopping at the Dollarama stores as they are constantly getting in brand name and as seen on tv items and I like to see what's new and purchase the items before they are all gone.

Always a great choice

I know I'll find items at Dollarama , but I'm more selective since their prices have increased. They have great cards, stationary and hosiery. They also provide a great option when my kids would like a quick toy fix - but I don't want to commit to a full blown toy store purchase.

p.s their pregnancy tests are spot on - don't fear the cheap price. You can afford to stock up at this price when trying for a Little One:)

J'aimais beaucoup ce magasin avant qu'il décide d'augmenter les prix. Je trouve ce magasin génial, car nous pouvons trouver toutes sortes de choses. Ce que j'aimais le plus c'étais le bas prix, mais maintenant il n'y a presque plus rien à 1 $

Theyre prices have increased so much they should rename the store. Nothing is a dollar anymore. I dont bother going anymore unless I need something I dont plan on keeping and dont want to waste money on. Always remember to check expiry date as the reason they get the stuff cheap is its usually old overstock.

I find Dollarama has gone done hill over the last few years. They have some items that are no longer a dollar, which I get with the cost of everything increases, so I don't mind paying more for certain items. I do find that certain items they increased in price, are now made more cheaply than before, a good example is the kitchen dish towels, after one wash they start to fall apart, and after a half dozen washes you have to throw them out.
I also find that the inventory is hit or miss, a lot the items are the same they just keep bringing them back every other season, located in a different section of the store.
I don't visit dollarama near as much as I did, for the reasons I mentioned above, if it were to close down, I would not bother me, there are many other dollar stores that offer a better selection for the same prices.

I shop at Dollarama when I need to pick up some cheap household cleaning supplies or other knick knacks. I do get a bit lost in some of the locations...they are HUGE and the aisles are not marked clearly. Also, prices have been creeping up over the years which annoys me. Maybe just change the name? If you have a good eye, you'll find some good things that are much cheaper than the grocery store. So it's a hit and miss for me!

I know there is a lot of competition with dollar stores but I feel Dollaramas prices have been increasing and soon it can't even be called a dollar store.

I'm on the fence with Dollarama since they upped their prices to like $4. What happened to the dollar stores where everything was ACTUALLY a dollar? I mean they have better products now that they raised their prices, old skylanders for $4, this cute Phillips night light that usually retails for almost $12 on for $4, but when you go there to make goodie bags or buy some Christmas wrapping and supplies you can guarantee your bill is over $50- it's kind of ridiculous. Just wish it was like the good old days.

Used to shop here all the time but now find it's not worth it. The prices have gone up so much that I might as well go to Walmart and get a better product for the same price.

Not really a dollar store anymore - many products exceed 2-3 dollars. They now have a larger variety with some good finds, like name-brand nail polish. Acceptable quality chocolates, food, and hair accessories. However, if you're looking for cookware, beauty products, toys or anything for the home, don't bother.
