I really wish I had read these reviews prior to buying a fairly large gift certificate for my mother for her birthday. We both decided to share it and utilised it today...based on the reviews, I'm thankful the owner wasn't there!
I had the the Massage Steam Therapy (Slimming) service completed. While the treatment was okay, several items indicated on the service outline that were NOT completed/offered: •Lymphatic-drainage with loofah was not completed. In fact, I asked the girl if I would be getting this done - she identified that it was not included in the service I was having done; •There was no anti-cellulite massage: a eucalyptus/grape-seed oil concoction was rubbed on before the steam bath; •No eye pads were offered; •There was no detox blend herbal tea offered at any time during the treatment.
Having paid full price, I expected that what was supposed to be included in the treatment should have been offered. For this reason, I would say I'm very disappointed in the Elixir service I received as the treatment was nowhere near worth $115.
Save your money and go someplace else!
Oh, I did email the spa about the service...I look forward to receiving a nasty email from the owner :)
I didn't have the greatest experience. I didn't find the esthetician very knowledgeable and the work that was done, wasn't very thorough; it felt that not much time was spent. I didn't get a good feeling from the owner. As a customer, I want to be informed and educated of the products that are being used on me. I want a good customer experience, and I didn't feel that I received the service from this spa.
I'm SO surprised this place got such praise! I love the idea of an organic spa, but the products just don't do a good job. I got a facial/mini/pedi combo. The pedicure was not very good. I have pretty major callouses, but she only used the fine foot file on me and the very next day my feet were as rough and calloused as ever. Same thing with my nails. It felt nice. There was a good massage, but my cuticles didn't get cleaned up at all. This is a great place if you have lots of money and already have perfect feet/nails/face and just want to be pampered. But if you're like me and you actually expect to have your feet turn buttery soft and your nails looks glowing and healthy and clean afterwards - skip it. I had a much better mani/pedi for a total of $20 in Panama!
