In our 6 years of business we have not had an Esthetician named Anika work for us. However maybe you did have an esthetician at Elmm Spa service you. I am not sure to why you felt the OPI light was being constantly plugged in as they are stationary on our manicure tables with direct access to power at all times. You could of mistaken the power being on and off because it is an LED lamp and only requires a 30 second cure time. Sometimes when distracted you may not notice to timed count down, especially if conversation was taking place.
As for our spa decor, we pride ourselves on being clean and organized. I am sorry that you found our front area to busy for you. Our reception area is designed to allow client to touch and feel products and make up making for easier interaction with products. Currently our waiting room and mani/pedi room has gone through a make over to esure to meet out clients standards in appearance.
I fully understand that making an appointment in advance can be a hassel for some but to ensure that you are able to get the appointment time and service that would want we ask that you call ahead. There is a text number on our website that most often people will mistake as our call number. It never poses a problem for anyone that calls it by mistake, we are always able to set an appointment.
We at Elmm Spa are very sorry that you may not be returning in the future but we do pride ourselves of exceptional customer service. Sometimes taking 2 minutes to inform someone about your service experience while in the spa allows us to better and more effectively correct whatever dissatisfaction you may of had.
Thank you
Elmm Spa
So, it wasn't an AWFUL experience- it was just average-below average in client service. The receptionist was quite friendly, but the lady who provided my manicure service (Anika) seemed stand-offish and somewhat rigid. I felt so awkward making conversation with her and in an empty room gettin my manicure done- you could literally hear a pin drop. I felt like it was somewhat of a chore to have the manicurist do my nails, which is sad because it should be a positive experience.
The ambience of the spa is also average with a lot of decor in the front, but the mani/pedi room needing a new paint job. Not to mention that the OPI gel polish curing machine had to constantly be plugged in and unplugged during my service.
Although my nails look nice, I don' think I will return to the Elmm spa because I felt like I was an inconvenience. A smile and great client service is what drives me to provide people with my buisness. I truly felt so uncomfortable that it wasn't worth it.
Not to mention that booking in advance is a hassle. When I called the number on the website, I was told to call another number. Next time I'll chose to call a
different salon and spa.
