Went here with my bridesmaids a month before my wedding for the first time in the summer and had to go back for my birthday (free lunch and gift) with a gift card. Eating lunch in a plush white robe!! What else do you need? The staff were very friendly, especially in the restaurant, front desk and change rooms. The ambiance is great, most spas are outside the city to preserve that "retreat feeling", but when you are sitting in the water therapy room you forget that you are in the heart of Toronto. It is very expensive though (just like most spa's)

The first time I went for a massage @ Elmwood was about 12 years ago... before the great new renovations made it very Thai and modern and larger. The massage was the best I've ever had and I have been a semi-regular customer ever since. The massage here is fantastic, relaxing and the team is great. Two I would suggest (though they are hard to book) are Cai and Lester... both geniuses!

Elmwood also offers free water therapies with any massage - bring your bathing suit - they will provide robes, locker, and rubber slippers for your use. They have hot tub and steam rooms - both co-ed and grrls only - which will relax you and prepare your muscles for the massage. (Oh and in the shower, try the yellow shower gel - its so heavenly I have it at home!)

Best message I've ever had! My friend and I both went for the Swedish Massage, and the lady was incredibly helpful and giving me advice on how to keep myself relaxed during stressful times! She really took out all the knots in my shoulders, despite it hurting just a little.
The facility was also amazing. I loved the small pool they had available! It's a perfect place to go with your girlfriends when you feel like splurging. Definite must try!

The Elmwood is a great place for a massage. They have several rooms and therapists as well as a pool, hot tub and steam rooms. I love the showers in the change room!!

This past weekend myself and five girlfriends went to Elmwood Spa for the day. It was fantastic! We arrived early for our Swedish massages and were able to take advantage of the water therapies. In the women's change room there is a large hot tub, steam room and rain-showers. It was little busy, but not problem getting around or finding a locker. Next, we each at 50-minute Swedish massages with male RTM's. Everyone enjoyed their massages. I had Nkois and he was fantastic. He was friendly, professional and didn't talk the entire time (that's a plus!). Lastly, we went to the main water therapies area on the third floor. There was a large pool, hot tube, 2 steam rooms and lounge. This area seemed a little older, but still nice and met our expectations.

Overall, I'd highly recommend Elmwood Spa to my friends and will definitely be going back - hopefully soon!

I used to love this place and have been coming for years... unfortunately over the past year things have changed. The water therapies are frequently in disrepair, which really ruins the whole experience. A month ago I paid for an 80 minute massage and was only given 50 minutes with no explanation. When I advised the front desk I was told there was nothing they could do about it... not even refund the difference in price. More recently I arrived for a massage only to learn that it was not available (even though it was pre-paid)... when I explained that I had taken a half day off work etc... I was met with complete indifference. It is a lovely spot - but it is simply not worth taking the chance to arrive on an "off-day" or to meet up with such frustrating attitudes. There are lots of other great spas in the city - go to them instead.

I come here for a swedish massage a couple of times a year and I'm usually happy with what I get.

After the renovation that Elmwood Spa recently completed - it appears nicer (at least for the Women's changeroom), but the service hasn't changed much. They have great lockers with combination codes you can choose on your own. They now have a nice jacuzzi in the women's changeroom, but it automatically turns off after about 15 minutes - which could be annoying if you have to climb out to turn it back on again. The massage is nice and you get apples and tea/water (included with your massage/water therapy purchase)

The pool deck is outdated, but all in all, I would say it's slightly overpriced for what you get. You leave feeling great, but you don't feel likek they doted on you.

It's about $100 for a 50 minute massage and it includes water therapies (steam room, jacuzzi, hot tub, etc).

For three hours today I was relaxed and pampered at the Elmwood Spa. It was my first visit to the Elmwood Spa since their renovation. When you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff and a nice warm towel. On each floor there are staff to greet you. When you want to get away and be stress free, the best thing to do is to go on vacation. If you don't have the time or money to go on a vacation the second best thing to do is to go the spa where someone else will look after your needs. I experienced the Serenity Spa retreat which included a manicure, pedicure, light lunch and water therapies. This is only my second pedicure. The first pedicure was years ago also at the Elmwood Spa, so I am not able to compare it to other experiences. I was hoping for a more relaxing massage. That was the whole point of getting the pedicure because my feet are so tired. I do not get manicures as I do not want to ruin my nails when I was dishes. This was my third manicure for the summer and each time my nails smudged before I left the premises. Overall, it was a very relaxing afternoon. I would recommend the Elmwood spa if you are looking for a spa experience in Toronto. However, the Ste. Anne's Spa would be my first choice if you want to get out of the city.

All hands and feet services include a home care kit. At checkout I was given a gift bag which included the Elm Line Herbal Tea and the Elm Line Hydrating Body Lotion.

I love the Elmwood Spa. I've been there a few times, always as a special treat because it is really expensive. You've got to save up to go there, but it's worth it. It is a very relaxing atmosphere and the people working there really know what they are doing. As well, if you do have any problems they will very quick at fixing the problem - so long as you tell them. They have a wonderful "water therapies" area that can be used as long as you like with the purchase of any spa service. I would highly recommend this spa as a special treat to yourself!

I came here for a massage a couple of years ago, then again about a month ago with a gift certificate. Both times I left thinking I probably wouldn't go back. The staff can be a little snooty, it's overpriced, and the last time I was there the kept talking so I couldn't relax but the worst part was he was talking with his hands which meant he was not massaging me for about 30% of the time and they are really stringent on time, so he stopped to the minute and I felt kind of ripped off in general. Nice ambiance though. Lots of big bathrobes, nice pool, tea selection, etc. But I've had better massages and better overall experiences.
