I was excited to try this place and definitely during the flamenco show. We used a $25 for $50 (tapas & Spanish wine) online voucher. The montados de chorizo (onion, red bell peppers, sautéed in wine) were nice, not outstanding. Such flaky & buttery puffed pastry in the empanadillias de polo (chicken & olives), sooo good! The sauces accompanying them were delicious. :-) I enjoyed the cold ceviche (blue marlin, mango, jalapeño, lime & tequila). I was disappointed with the pato con peras (duck comfit w pears), it could have more than 1 tiny piece of pear, and the duck was crispy, but lacking flavour. The puntillas en salsa de mostaza was definitely memorable. Grilled black angus sirloin, small home cut fries tossed with a light dijon mustard sauce: such a great combination! *drool* We tried the white sangria, which didn't taste anything like (red) sangria I've had before. It actually had more of an apple juice taste. I couldn't help but compare this to our first tapas restaurant, which enticed us in by advertising $5 tapas. This wasn't a good value, it was a one-time try (as my husband keeps reminding me. ;-)) We spent an additional $40 . For their high prices, Embrujo Flamenco really should give you bread at your table.
This is a romantic night out when you go during the show - it's a must for this different dining experience.
