Mary's been doing my brows for a few years, and they've never looked better. She's taken my over-plucked, lifeless eyebrows and totally transformed them to look fabulous once again. She takes her time and knows her stuff. I always walk out of there extremely satisfied and relieved that I have not subjected myself to a cheap wax job at an unknown salon as I have in years past.

Finally found.....a master of the eye brow that has helped this reformed plucker/over tweezer to step back and let someone else try and figure it out! Her name is Mary Dang and she has created a calming space filled with natural light to do her chosen art.

She has taught me where it is OK to pluck between appointments and provided a plan to work towards and it helped me get brows that I get compliments on regularly. Since I am not a big make-up person but have reached a point that a bit of eye highlighting certainly can't hurt, she took time to show 2 simple make-up steps that have made a big difference without adding hours to my morning routine. I appreciate her patience during our make-up session.

Eye Love is a cute new brow bar that opened on Queen West in the Trinity Bellwoods area November 2011. Owner, Mary Dang is a makeup artist who started the brow bar in response to her client's requests that she do their brows. She had me over for a free consultation and shaping and told me that since her clients kept asking her to do their brows, she realized it was a great service niche.

Mary takes her time to evaluate your brows and instead of plucking out all of the strays, shows you where you should let your brows grow in for a more natural, attractive shape. Then she gets to work plucking your brows into perfection, and finishes by filling in any gaps or sparse areas you need to grow back. I actually wish I would have taken a before and after because I love what she did with mine. The pencil she used was so nice I asked where I could get one and it turns out, it is from her own makeup line so I bought one ($15). A consult and shaping is $30, with follow-ups at $25 or you can purchases packages at a discounted rate.

The brow bar is on the 2nd floor so you might not notice if you are walking down Queen Street. It's a lovely airy space with large hand carved antique wooden mirrors and lots of natural lighting. I should also mention that I brought my baby and it wasn't a problem at all.

In addition to brow shaping, Eye Love offers makeup services. I'm so glad I tried this out as this will be my new go-to for brows.
