Seeing all these positive reviews online had me convinced this would be the place to go. First of all, my haircut was good. Not great, but pretty average and I'm happy with it. However, the colouring job, done by Tami, left much to be desired. The customer consultation was a joke. She spent maybe 30 seconds asking me what I wanted and then went to prepare the colour. I ended up with the wrong colour, which she fixed after I told her thats not what I asked for. Her bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired and I would not recommend her services. Not only that, but despite using sulfate-free shampoo (and she recommended) and not washing my hair more than 2-3 times a week, the colour faded within 2-3 weeks. Disappointing considering how much money I spent on the dye job.
More than perhaps all of this, service at the front desk was just plain old rude. That's a pity. At a salon, you're selling an experience and if your front staff is going to be less than pleasant to your customers, then you've failed. While I was getting my hair washed, the employees were talking about other employees in a less than friendly manner. If you're going to gossip, do it away from your customers. So unprofessional.
All in all, exceptionally disappointed and I will not be returning, nor will I recommend this place to any of my friends and family. Attitude adjustment needed.
I've been waiting for 2 years for my bangs to grow out so I could finally get it "proffesionally" cut and have it look much nicer than the bangs I had before. I decided to go to Fiorio after being convinced by my friend that it was a 'great salon'. I made an appointment for bangs which had only cost $5.65 which was a really good price! I came there a few minutes earlier than my appointment time and my scheduled hairdresser was working with another patient. So I was asked by the cash register girl (I don't even know if she was a licensed hairdresser!) if I wanted to get them cut by her instead. Seeing that the salon was almost closed, I agreed. She sat me down and I showed her a picture of how I exactly wanted it to be done. She took a 0.5 second glance at it and began chopping my bangs off. I was wide-eyed and was literally shivering in my chair. She seemed so careless about it. By the time she was done, it looked terrible. My bangs were WAY too short and she didn't even cut it even. Also, some pieces of of hair were long and some were short. I was SO dissapointed seeing that it was the first day of highschool the next day. My self esteem dropped down so much, I can't even break a smile in the mirror anymore. It's been a week, and my bangs have not grown out yet. EVERYDAY, I stress out on how to style my bangs the next day. I can't pull them to the side because they are too short, and I can't leave them down because the hairdresser texturized them too much and it shows so much of my forehead (I'm very insecure about my forehead and eyebrows) Now, I have to wake up an extra hour early to style my bangs and it still ends up looking TERRIBLE during school.
I usually get my hair cut and styled at this place at square one called FIORIO.
I have always had a good experience except this last time.
It was a complete disaster. I had mid length hair and wanted to get it trimmed and styled. I told the stylist what I wanted... she seemed to have understood what I wanted.
I am extremely picky about my hair since its silky and thick, a mistake is obvious.
She spent over an hour cutting my hair but seemed like she had no clue of what she was doing.
I didnt interupt thinking she would atleast get into styling it. It was insane.. she kept on cutting each side turn by turn and never go to the length of it.
After an hour an half, She just kept doing the same thing over and over again she had no idea what she was doing she came to my bangs and I just stopped her and told her that I'm really nervous with the way you are doing this. Its not the first time i have trimmed and styled my hair...she was shivering while she did it and seemed like she would cry.. so I didnt know what was wrong with her... she can take a break if shes tired but atleast dont ruin my hair. Then she started blow drying it and then cutting again... I was confused and told her that I dont know wut your doing. When I saw my hair half done she had completely ruined it and was nothing like I asked her and on top of that she wasnt even sorry... she called another stylist who came and was like wut did u want really rudely and said that if u want me to fix it you gotta wait for 45 mins.... I was like i have already been here for over an hour and half and this is wut I get with your attitude. The manager was not available. I went to the counter and I told her what had happen.. shes like you have to pay the whole amount of I will not let you go....I was like amazing customer service for a loyal customer. Extremely disappointed.the receptionist told me that the manager will call me and ask me to come in to get it fixed..
The manager called the next day and left a rude message on my voice mail....
and its not even cheap.. esp for ruining my hair... never going there again...!!!
Not recommended at ALL unless you know someone who has done a good job...
and not to forget I asked this stylist how long she was working here.. she said 2 YRS.. and I have never seen her there...
