Me and friend joined Fitness One over 10 years ago and stayed as members whole time until I moved.It was the best thing that happened to me since I lost 40 pounds and feel great walking down the street! Fitness One is a great place! Thanks to you Fitness One and John Wheeler

I really liked this place. There were some really nice people who were members that I ended up being friends with.

I liked that it was all ladies and no men were there to look at you. I have not been a member for a long time but I did enjoy going there alot.

Fitness One and John Wheeler did a good job in making all these locations for women and very cheap so we could all afford this.

I lol'd at some of these posts. I worked out at Fitness One for 3 years then ended up working there for nearly 10 years as a manager. Some of the post saying the company sucked or was a fraud is hilarious!! There were around 15 locations and the company made a lot of money. There may have been some unhappy people but 95% of everybody loved the company. Maybe the company went downhill after it was sold to Premier Fitness or Extreme but when John Wheeler owned the company it was amazing.

Love it when people go online and make up lies because they were fired for stealing or whatever.

I have always loved this place. Was a member for 15 years and lost nearly 80 pounds.

It's pretty hard to complain about a place that charges $15 a month but I guess some people are never happy. I do admit that after the clubs were sold the place did go downhill.

These clubs are amazing but extremely jammed packed. There is tons of equipment and always lots of different things to do.

I have found that it has gone down hill since it has been sold to the new owners but still pretty good for only $15 a month. no complaints.

Tons of equipment, great locations, low price and generally clean facilities.

It's a great place to workout and the staff are very friendly.

If you google Fitness One gym reviews, you'll get a sense of how this gym operates. This gym is full of frauds especially it's CEO John Wheeler! They have been evicted in many of their locations including Malvern, Concord (Head Office), Dufferin. What's alarming is that they continue to bill clients although they have been evicted. There is no such thing as head office because the numbers are out of service and clients are not sure as to where to go. The only gym open is the Victoria Park and Ellesmere site and many have gone in to cancel their memberships. Staff at these locations have indicated that the so called head office has now relocated to the VP site but you would never find a single soul there that represents head office there. People have tried to contact John Wheeler even the law firms that represent the sites that have been evicted, and no luck! Long story short, many women have been scammed, continued to be billed, many employees have yet to be paid and this is a scam! Hi The Danforth location had closed down. But I can say this Facility is a very good place. I've always been warmly greeted by staff and any questions i've had they have been successfull in answering me. Wether it be about my billing or just general question about how to use the equipment. The classes are great and I enjoy starting off my day with Fitnessone because in the end it's about me losing weight. Fitnessone has really helped me successfully lose weight. Fitnessone is great but the only issue i have is that they are unfortunately not a 24 hour club.

Finally, Fitness One is back to how it used to be!!! New management, renovations, new clubs…the'yre BACK BABY! This is actually a great club.

Joined over 5 years ago (appleby line location), they've been closed for at least a year without notice for failure to pay rent (according to the sign on the door). They have continued to attempt to take money out of my account every month since. All emails and calls go unanswered.

When my Mom, who was also a long term member, passed away they still had the gaul for trying to take membership fees out of her account because she hadn't given them enough notice.

Stay away. poorly run, cash grab!
