Love Food Basics!

Love Food Basics! Clean store and great sales. Staff are very helpful most of the time. They rarely run out of their sales merchandise which some of the other stores can't say. They very rarely have long line ups at the checkout.

Be careful when shopping here

I shop here for groceries on a regular basis because they have decent prices and the quality is good. I have found on almost every visit, I have to examine my receipt and watch the prices closely as I have been overcharged many times.

Great grocery store and great prices. I shop there a lot. Vegtables and fruit arent the nicest looking though. I also do not shop there for my meat either. I do not like their meet selection. I shop at metro and freshco for my produce and meat.

food basics has a lot of locations, and every location is different. some stores are clean and big, and some are not. but other than that, they offer good prices on their products which has the same quality as other expensive grocery stores.

I shop at Food Basics every week for groceries and I must say they have really good prices on everything. They always have fresh and good quality of fruits and vegetables as well as a great variety of dairy products. Although I hate waiting in line for check out. The process takes so long and I think they need to hire more cashiers because there are always long lines and people get frustrated waiting for their turn to pay.

This is not my usual grocery store. I find it is dirty and not always well looked after. When there are sales it is good to shop here but mostly more expensive that other food stores.

I like the prices that is why I keep going back. I can buy stuff in Large so I dont have to keep buy every month.

Yes their prices are reasonable, but I honestly don't like to shop here. I find their fruits and vegetables are not the greatest and stores are also not that clean.

When I lived in Ottawa, our family used to shop at Food Basics all of the time. They had such great prices, and the service was always quick. I loved how fresh the produce was, and how large the aisles were.. I miss it!

Grocery store chain with many locations in Ontario.

I went shopping at Food Basic's Grocery Store today and will not return. I picked up a few items that I needed and proceded to the check-up to pay. I informed the clerk that I had a manufacturers printed coupon for one of my items. It was a printable coupon from Nestle water for $1.00 direct from their website. The cashier informed me that there store does not take printable coupons. I questioned this as most companys are now switching to printable coupons. She informed me that it did not matter she would not accept them even though they had a bar code and everything. I will not return just on principle.

Walmart has never given me a hard time on any coupons, and they even price comparison all competitors prices even on sale. Now they will get all my grocery business.
