Future Bakery is a great spot at Bloor and Brunswick, open late, often filled with students. It is a combination of a bakery, cafe and bar offering both hearty Ukrainian-influenced food and delicious desserts.

The bakery is known for its cake which is absolutely delicious, particularly because on any given day they offer about 15 different choices. The food is also reasonably priced.

They also have a patio which is a great place to people-watch and enjoy a cold beer.

This is kind of a cafe/bakery/brunch place on Bloor St. It is very warm and cozy, with candles on every table. The best thing here is the cake-- there are so many different kinds of delicious cake slices to choose from! Also, they serve you with real cutlery and dishes, nothing gets thrown away. The brunch food is good too, they made omlettes at reasonable prices. This place is also mostly inhabited by students. The only down side is that it is not a quiet cafe, often busy and chatty. But the best this is really the cake. Really and truly, the cake. :)
