I was given a $75.00 gift card for Future Shop a few weeks ago. I didn't really have any use for a new electronic so I decided to purchase from their new online Health and Beauty section. I ordered,
Burt's Bees Essential Kit for $14.99
CoverGirl Professional Translucent Face Powder - Translucent Fair 105 for $6.99
CoverGirl Cheekers Blush - Natural Twinkle for $4.98
Maybelline Colour Show Nail Lacquer Nail Polish - Impeccable Greys for $3.99
L'Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Foundation - Light Ivory for $15.99
Live Clean Fresh Face Trial and Travel Kit for $9.99
L'Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer - Fair/Light Cool for $9.99
The total came to $74.95 with free shipping, initially I was very pleased. It arrived in 3 days which was phenomenal. Then I noticed an empty wrapper in the box that perfectly fit the L'Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer. The concealer had been opened and looked used. Gross! I emailed customer service and chose to return it to the store. I wanted to let them see that the product had been used so they couldn't just blame me. I dealt with a woman named Maria. Everything was going fine until she informed me I would have to pay shipping. I mentioned that the return policy clearly states if the product was damaged that the product would be shipped to the customer free of charge. She then said the shipping was free if I picked it up in store. I agreed to do that and when the product arrived it didn't look used, thankfully, but it didn't even have a protective seal on it! So I wasn't going to exchange it again because they clearly don't know how to leave the wrapper on! Lastly their price matching is such a joke that after a few enquirers on Facebook I discovered that you have to place an order online. Pay for it in full and then call customer service and go through every item that needs price matching and have them verify that A.) The price is lower and B.) That store must be in stock online and in stock in a store in Canada and C.) That store must be what they claim to be a recognized authorized dealer. It's just silly!
