84% OF CHICKS DIG IT
From the moment you walk in, the energy is high yet calm, and the staff are very friendly! Very clean with hints of a citrusy smell (thanks to the several chic lemon jars). Had my first Brazilian wax here and it was such a great experience. The receptionist was kind and asked me about myself, if this was my first time here, and complimented my nails. She made great conversation without being too chatty, and offered to get me to the next available waxer (if I wanted).
I read reviews and based on them, booked my appointment with Marley. She was awesome and made me feel comfortable and explained the process and the method (hard wax) beforehand. I was nervous at first but am now eager to go there soon again for my next session. :-)
Membership is intriguing, and I would consider it if I had a credit card and it was a shorter commitment.
I hate to be the only naysayer here, but I have to be honest, this was sheer disappointment and bad customer service.
The prices would be okay if you were getting an expert in waxing, which is what you think because that's all they do, right? Umm no. I tried 3 different people and not one of them did a great job.
Then, they go and cancel one of my appointments without even telling me, which I hear has happened to other people as well. REALLY?!
Save your money and go somewhere else that's better and less expensive and has better customer service.
They can use a lesson in aesthetics and customer service.
Very cute spot located in Queen West. I loved the ambiance. The ladies were great. Provided a great experience and did the job well.
This cute wax bar opened their first store February 2012 and I just tried it today. They offer every imaginable wax service in a trendy, tidy space. You can book services as you need them or get monthly memberships to get perks and price breaks. I tried the sexy bikini, which was expertly (and virtuously painlessly) done by Tasha.
I love the space and the concept. I was also impressed to meet the hip young Chicks behind the brand, Jessica and Florence. The savvy friends brought the wax bar concept to Canada after seeing similar stores in Europe.
Prices are more reasonable than you'd find in a spa but slightly more than the cheapie places that lack ambience.
I look forward to seeing more locations of this and highly recommend you check them out!
Went to fuzz loved it!! Went about a week ago..I was VERY scared getting a new person to stare at my private areas but felt welcomed as soon as I stepped through the door!! I had a young looking girl with brown and blond hair she totally reassured me I would be fine!! She had an amazing personality and got the job done perfectly!! To the other review....clearly your still use to spa music and waxing is not a relaxing experience for any women!! As for their memberships I personally think it is an perfect idea too bad I am only visiting the city or else I would of purchased one...also when I spoke to the women at the front desk I was told that the memberships are for a year but can be canceled at any time.
I went to Fuzz wax bar (http://fuzzwaxbar.com/) for the first time. I got full legs and bikini. I was intrigued by their membership. Before signing up, I wanted to give it a try.
The place is really cute, located on queen street west. The music was too loud for me. I am so used to go to a relaxing place. This music was too disturbing for me. The waxing was super fast. They use strip wax for legs and hard wax for bikinis. The hard wax was amazing. The girl who waxed me was ok. She missed some spots, probably due to the lack of of lights in the room. I still don't know if I am going to get the membership. It's a year long membership. If it was a 6 month membership, I would have probably signed up.
