100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
After all this talk of how tough George's workouts are, I was quite worried about meeting him for a session. I began with all the standard disclaimers - "it's been a while", "I really do mean to exercise more often", (and then mentally) "please don't hurt me".
We were going through some specific exercises for the fitness tutorials we have been featuring on ChickAdvisor, so this workout was not scaled to my specific fitness goals per se. However, George was patient in showing both easier and more challenging versions of his innovative exercises to meet my fitness level. It turns out that I was not in as poor shape as I feared! Score one for carrying shouting children out of Costco every week :)
I definitely felt the impact of the workout days later, and not only in terms of soreness. My energy was boosted and I was motivated anew to start a fitness regimen (which, well, I'm still working on). I do not live in the Toronto area, but if I did I'd seriously consider seeing George regularly. His availability to meet at a convenient location is worth a lot, and he really is a sweetie.
Give him a try!
George is great. It took some convincing from the wife to work with a personal trainer since I prefer to do my own thing in the gym, but I get results with George. He changes the routine often so I'm not bored with it and I'm definitely sore after a session. I've been training with him on and off for about 2 years and I think it's a good investment.
My history with fitness/body image is long and twisted....I was overweight for most of my life (especially during my teenage years which was absolute hell), then extremely "buff" during a brief stint as a fitness competitor/fitness model. Well my body fought back by piling on the weight....and as the years went by it became harder and harder to lose...enter George....
I have had personal trainers in the past-you know the ones, big massive muscled and oiled up guys with clipboards and bags of boiled chicken and oatmeal. So when I first met with George (for my free consult), I thought to myself, 'is this guy for real'?
ummmmm YES he is and I found that out about halfway through my first workout. How sad is it that I couldn't even make it through the first workout? YIKES! So I signed up....
Verdict? I am happy-I see progress, I am able to get through the workouts now and am running a lot faster then I was before! It's nice to have someone else thinking about the workouts for you-you just focus on the actual exercise. I like the one on one "it's all about me" stuff.
George is no joke people-and his programs work! I am about one month in and plan to continue-it's totally worth it! You only get ONE body!
I began seeing George from the recommendation of Chick Advisor, and am thrilled with the results. He makes his clients feel extremely comfortable and confident, which was important for me because I was embarrassingly weak when we first started.
Its been about three months or so and I feel so much stronger, I have faster reflexes and also I feel like my body is more defined.
I really appreciate how George makes himself available when its convenient for me, as well as comes right to your door. My schedule is hectic and this service is invaluable. With his flexibility and encouraging approach, I no longer have excuses not to work out.
I have been training with George Gianniotis (who I refer to as Trainer George) for about a year. That's him in the picture in the white shirt. George was introduced to me by a friend living in my building who had very intense fitness goals for himself. He wanted to lose about 30 lbs and basically get ripped. Since George is a portable personal trainer not tied to a gym, he was coming to our building to train my friend (Gaston). In less than a year Gaston lost about 30 lbs and started living a healthier lifestyle. Seeing the results he had, I decided to give G2 Kinetics a shot.
My goals are much different from Gaston's. I work out for stress relief and because I like being fit and strong. I am not interested in losing weight but I also don't want to be a skinny jiggly person. George's programs are awesome. Even though my lifestyle is getting increasingly hectic, the routine he designed for me and the way he punishes me in the gym means I'm getting great results with as little as 1-2 workouts a week. Ideally I should be going 3 days a week but that's not always possible. The other great thing about George coming here is that there's no way I'm not going to miss my workout and I don't even need a gym membership. He's pretty inventive with the exercises.
I just finished a fantastic 10 week session and I'm going to sign up for more after the holidays. The best things I get from working out with George are:
- He's really nice, but tough. He will make you work HARD but you will look and feel amazing.
- He changes up routines often so you are never bored.
- He really pays attention to you doing the exercises. You don't feel like he's bored just putting in the time.
- If you refer a friend who signs up, he gives you a free session.
- Consultations are free.
- He brings boxing gloves so you can beat him up at the end of your session ;)
I highly recommend you try George's services for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed!
P.S forgive wonky stars selection. Time to add "Personal Trainers" as a section here on ChickAdvisor, me thinks!
