Hubby and I eat sushi often and we struggle with finding the perfect mix of quality and price. Gonoe is definitely our ideal combination of the two. The fish is always fresh, the rolls inventive and the variety enough to satisfy your pickiest sushi aficionado. While the ambiance is your typical japanese sushi restaurant and the service can be spotty (meaning super friendly but sometimes a long wait), this resto is worth the trip to midtown. Reservations are recommended for the weekend - the space is rather small and it is always busy! Faves are the Diablo roll and Canadian Bacon Roll.
