Never join this club. They have non working equipment at most locations and they never fix them. No working dry sauna. 3 months in and still wont fix it. Other locations have only wet sauna that i cant use. Their website does not say which type of sauna they have. Go to any other company but stay away from Goodlife.
Joining the goodlife gym was a horrible experience. They find ways take money out of your account. When I joined, they took my banking information incorrectly then charged me extra money...the whole process was very distressing and horrendous. The gym is packed and crowded so you cant use any of the equipments unless you line up and the classes are packed also, even the morning ones. If you are interested in joining goodlife gym, I highly recommend you rethink your options. In addition, it is way too costly for the little services they provide, packing in customers like groups of sardines.
My review is to educate other mothers who use the child minding -steer clear- if your child is not old enough to have a voice do not even consider using them as an option. I am specifically talking about the coxwell and gerrard location. One staff member had a chip on her shoulder annoyed at the crying baby she was with that wouldn't settle down, I asked why don't you go get her mother and she said we can't she is an instructor here. I told her if my baby cries like that get me immediately. I stayed for 10 min to see how my 5 month old would adjust in the circle of neglect and since she was as happy as a clam playing by herself I went for a workout. I popped my head in 20 min later to let them know I would be in an office speaking with a sales person , should they need me and couldn't see me in the cardio area. At that point my daughter was still doing well in the exercauser and had a few little boys surrounding her. I come to pick her up 10 min later and she was being tossed into the swing with tears streaming down her face and was wailing. I have only seen tears one other time on my childs face, clearly the other little boys were being too rough with her and she was not being supervised. Sometimes accidents happen by why was I not notified, she took the time to walk to the back of the room to plop her in a swing it would have been the same distance to walk to where the offices were. Bottom line don't use their child mining. Otherwise the gym is great, especially the selection of classes is incredible!
I joined the Mt Pleasant and Davisville Goodlife and have had a horrible experience. Twice they went into my bank account and withdrew money away from the terms I signed up for. Trying to resolve the banking issues was a HUGE nightmare. The women's showers are dirty and smell like mould. The gym is overpacked and the customer service is awful. I will never recommend a Goodlife.
I would like to warn possible good life members about how much ive been over charged and had to pay consequences for:
1. changed the date on when I had to pay
2. over charged me more than 3 times
3. don't change the light bulbs in the tanning beds
4. sold me already used goggles with mascara bits inside for $6
5. took my personal training sessions away and changed my trainer with absolutely no notice
6. Paid $400 in charges because THEY screwed up!
If that isn't enough to make you reconsider ask me this...
Am I still a good life member?
According to them I am because when you join you are a "Life time" member which basically means I am still getting charged without notice and JUST realized this 2 weeks ago!
I use to like good life so I am not completely saying they are terrible but ive been to other gyms and good life for me is the dead last choice!
