Hit or miss

I have been to this salad several times and have worked with a few hairstylists. I continued to come back to work with one individual who spent a lot of time on my hair and made sure it was 100% and that I was happy. I had my hair done for my sister's wedding by another woman who wasn't as pleasant and seemed to rush my hair. It's a big salon with very different personalities, so it's really about finding the right hairstylist. The atmosphere was okay - but it was a little big and busy for me.

I've been going to this salon for 17 years now. My first hair stylist was really the only one that knew how to style my hair. After she left, I continued to go because the people were friendly, it was convenient for me, and the other stylist were pretty good. Then maybe 3-4 yrs ago, they switched management. I still continued to go as my stylist was still there, the old manager was working part time, and the new manager was a stylist previously. Hence to say I was very disappointed when I came in to do my hair on my wedding day, and they charged me for bringing in my makeup artist to use their space. It's not like they have their own make up artist that would be losing business or anything. It's just poor customer service. Not only have I been a loyal customer for 17 years, but I've referred so many people over that time. Needless to say I will not be recommending this place anymore. My wedding will also be featured in a highly read wedding magazine which I will NOT be giving a plug to this salon. There are so many other salons in the Toronto area where the stylists are on trend and the service is 10x better, for a lot less! Hope the $75 was worth it Haartek!
