Recommended by a friend from England, I didn't realize how uncommon threading was in Toronto. Arrived at this "Nail Salon" bit early ( breezed past the cold blonde) seated myself on the couch and wondered what the dickens I was doing in a nail salon for a "threading appointment" watching the gentle woman recommend a braid on her clients hair with enthu-siasm !

Closer to me was a chatty high pitched east european woman with non stop chatter. This was the making of a film script right here! In Wonderland I had surely fallen through a rabbit hole here.

I had my entire face threaded though I was in for just my eyebrows. A gentle touch almost holistic at some level.. I left looking at least 5 years younger. All that tightening of the skin and tingling, had never experienced this before.

A week later I was seduced into a small change in my haircut and could not be more ecstatic. My hairstylist cum threader uncovered. If I peel this onion further what hides within ?

I may even book this strange "beauty Mall" for a pedicure soon ! Why don't they call it such ?
