The Honest Lawyer Richmond Hill was once my favourite place to go on a weekend or even a weeknight; but ever since undergoing new management recently, it has gone DOWNHILL. The food has always been terrible, but that never stopped me from going every weekend. There have been numerous absurd incidents that my friends and I have experienced on numerous occations ever since this management turnaround. The bar that used to be my "Cheers" is a bar I will no longer frequent again.

I understand the concept of Honest Lawyer...it is a bar/restaurant/lounge where you can play pool, other games and just sit around and have a pint with friends. I have been to the one in London: not bad. I have been to the one in Richmond Hill: terrible. I am told that it was not bad before under previous management but my experience with this place has been not good at all. The security staff hovered around tables for absolutely no reason. We were out for a birthday and after the birthday boy had his third drink (1 beer and 2 shots) the bartender informed him that he would have to order food or there would be no more alcohol served. It was all very strange.

On another outting to Honest Lawyer in Richmond Hill we were sitting at our table and the lady came around to take our orders and when a friend ordered Frangelico they informed us they did not serve that drink (even though it was on the menu). When we pointed out that it was on the menu she giggled and returned with the drink 45 mins later. Throughout that evening and the other instance I was there every time we ordered drinks to our table it took well over half an hour to get it. My advice would be to just go up to the bar so you can actually sit down and sip on something as you talk to you friends. The food orders also took well over 45 mins to get to us and the food was pretty bad.

If someone suggests Honest Lawyer Richmond Hill to you, I would suggest you save yourselves the hassle and just go somewhere else!
