I went there at one time 7 years back and the food had been really good. By the time I went there last, the food had degenerated into dry cheeses and floury, flat desserts. The decor was getting old and not as clean as it should have been. Friends also agree that the food is bar grade, at best. So this has ended this place for me. They seem to have either lost, or worse yet, fired the best chef they had at one time. I don't know what ruckus that could have been by that chef and possibly the manager, or whoever. Or, maybe he retired. I don't know. Anyway, the previous chef had been really good with the food. Then, I heard a friend of mine say that an older woman had been served a partly cooked chicken leg or something. That further reduced my desire to ever put foot in the Hotel Saskatchewan again.
