I have been to ikea about 5 times total. I was not impressed with there customer service. I went in to purchase a dresser. i had to find all my 15 boxes by my self and that was a challenge.I had to go to 4 different areas to get all the boxes I needed and at the end i was missing 2 boxes that they told me were in store but they had none in stock .I wasted a good 2 hours just looking for things that weren't even there. I like that they have many cool decorating ideas but having to find over 10 boxes for one stand was ridiculous. I then decided to go home and buy online. the delivery came within 3 days with fewer boxes. it took my husband and i 3 hours trying to put it together. lots of parts for something that looked so simple. not recommending
This is great if you dont care about durability and the toxic chemicals associated with the use of MDF, which is what their products are made of. So you cant spill too much water on the mdf stuff or you end up with a big bubble that swells. The stuff is poor quality and a great deal of what they have to offer is either distateful or just plain tacky. I guess its good for those who have no care for quality or those just starting out with their first apartment/home. I hated it. i am a wood worker and I can make everything they do for less and I will have better quality, with my ow real non toxic wood.
Ikea's a weird one. Some stuff is a massive bargain, like an amazing bookshelf for 25 dollars or kitchenware for amazing prices and other stuff is weirdly overpriced...
Still, great place to compare deals with their website, a bit large and hard to navigate in store, but a great homeware store nonetheless.
i dont know how to rate this. i ahte going to this store. i hate the set up and its way to big for my liking. BUT i do like the products. they have things i woulndt even think of. so im on the fence with this one,
