I have been going to this salon for about 4 years now, and never thought to write a review until now, as silly as it may sound.
I cannot say enough good things about this salon. It is such a cozy, friendly, atmosphere, and every time I go in, I feel at home. When my hair is out of whack, I simply call to make an appointment with Dasha, which is my stylist who I just adore, and she always knows what to do to fix me up!
We have changed my hairstyles and colors so many times, and each time comes out better then the last!
She is a stylist who listens to you, she is not pushy, and she is extermely honest. If she knows what I want will look horrible on me, she has no problem letting me know, which I appreciate.
When she went on mat leave, I saw Giuseppe, and he did an awesome job cutting and coloring my hair as well, so that is who I see if Dasha goes on vacation, or if I really need a fix me up and she is unavailable, it's great to know that I have other choices, and that I will still be just as happy. Love this salon! Just got a pretty big change over the weekend, I had hair half way down my back, and I have some plonde highlites throughout, and we colored it dark, did some nice side bangs, and cut it to just below the shoulder. She is my savior!!!

I am a student attending Sheridan College, which is conveniently located walking distance to Square One Mall, and I finally decided I needed a hair cut. I went to Donato, and they said that they were too busy, and could not take me for the rest of the day, so I walked out. I walked into Lords and Ladies and the stylist that was available wanted to charge me $65 for a simple trim, not to mention the lady I spoke to was on a personal call for ten minutes before she even acknowledged me...so I left. I figured today was not the day, and I was going to head to Shoppers Drug Mart, grab a few things, and walk home. On my way, I passed by a salon, called Jason Michaels, so I walked in to see if they were able to take me.

The receptionist was so bubbly, and so welcoming. She asked me what I was looking for, and she told me that they had a 10% discount for students from Mon-Wed. She told me that there were 2 different levels of stylists available. A master stylist, or a top stylist. I went with a master stylist, his name was Greg. We spoke about my hair, and he gave me a few ideas, and I felt confident that he would do a great job! My color was quite grown out, and faded, so I asked him how much it would cost for a cut and colour, and he spoke to the owner, and they gave me a package deal for doing both services, plus I got 10% off! What a score! My color came out just perfect, a nice burgundy, and my cut completely changed my look! I feel like I don't even need make up! It brightens up my face so nicely, and when I got home, my room mates could not stop complimenting my hair! The owner introduced himself, who was super nice, and offered me a few discount cards if I wanted to give them to friends or family! I gave them to my friends, so they will be going in soon to get their hair done as well! It's nice to find a place that accomodates students, and who can appreciate that we do have a budget, but not all of us will just go to First choice to get a haircut either. This salon is HUGE, and the staff makes you feel welcomed. I found my new salon!

100% thumbs up: This salon was the best hair experience i have had to date. the place is very nice and gives me a great vibe every time i go back. The stylists are well trained and the place is clean 100% of the time. From the very first time i walked in, its been nothing but great service and amazing quality. the prices are very fair for the level of quality offered, i am very happy! Highly recommended place to everyone! The Hijab room makes me feel welcome, unlike any other salon!!! i always get compliments this is a great sign

I went to see Greg at Jason Michael's Salon in Square One. He is the best around and has great stylisng skills. I came away so pleased and have gotten amazing compliments on my hair and new colour.
He takes his time and is not pushy - has such a gentle nature and a soft touch. I so dislike stylists who you feel you have to talk with the entire time - sometimes I just want to zone out and he picks up on this immediately.

My girlfriend and I walked in Jason Michaels Hair Salon this passed Saturday, for a consultation, for a new look for the fall.
Given how busy it was, I was surprised that they actually took the time to see us.
I had Giuseppe speak with myself, and a lady by the name of Delfina saw my friend.
They gave us our options, and were not pushy at all. I knew that if I had the courage to do the big change to my hair that I had wanted for awhile, that this was the place that was going to give me exactly what I wanted.
They told us that if we came back in an hour or so, they could start on both of us, and because we were going to come together, they offered us a discounted rate.
My girlfriend left, and discussed what we were going to do, and decided that we were going to go ahead, and get our hair done!
We sat next to each other, and the stylists began their magic. WOW. I cannot even begin to explain how much I love my hair!!!! I did a darker brown color, with bright red slices in my bangs, and my girlfriend did a plum color, with a few copperish peek a boo highlights.
My hair was almost to my waist, and now it's 2 inches or so passed my shoulders, and really layered, with front bangs. I still cannot believe that I trusted someone enough to do something so drastic to my hair!!!!
I hadn't told my family that I was going to get my hair done, and when I got home, the reactions from them said it all! They could not stop complimenting my hair! I was out last night for dinner with friends, and had 2 waitresses ask me where i got my hair done, so I gave out Jason Michaels business cards to them.
I couldn't be happier! My only regret is that I did not find this hidden gem sooner!!
Ladies, if you don't know just what you want, or what will suit you, I highly recommend you to go to Jason Michaels. These stylists are very well educated, and full of ideas, and will spend the time with you, and give you exactly what was discussed. This salon is worth every single penny, and more!

I'm going to keep this short, but no words are good enough to describe
just how fantastic this expert professional truly is.

She does amazing stuff with my eyebrows - that I cannot replicate ANYWHERE else!
(Everyone seems to want to go extremely thin and short,
while I like a medium shape and longer brows - Hey! I'm a REAL person, after all!).

I am an avid nail-biter, and I've come in with some pretty short nails,
but she finds a way to refinish my fingernails to look natural and beautiful,
and they are still functional.

my name is Karine and i like to provide information regard jason michael's salon. great staff special Ross the stylist who consulted with me.I been to top salon's and i walk away crying because they messed up my hair. Ross is very professional, he listen,and he recommended what was right for me.I went with very black hair and want to be dark blonde,evry salon refused to do my hair.Ross consulted,he did a strand test to se how my hair will lift.I felt very comfortable with him .got exactly what i wanted for many years.****VERY HAPPY I RECOMMEND ROSS TO ANY ONE WITH SAME PROBLEM***

I went to this salon on Sunday, because I wanted to do something different with my hair, so I stopped at this salon. I told the receptionist that I had no idea what I wanted to do, but I wanted to do something that stood out.
She brought me in, and has a stylist named Sameer speak to me.
He was so excited to change my hair, and gave me the idea to color my hair a wine red, and add some bright red foils in my bangs to brighten up my face.

Red is a color that has people saying, WOW, and I know that, because that is what people have been saying every time they notice my hair. I have never had so many compliments on my hair, and the gorgeous hair cut that he gave me as well.
I really needed this, and I can honestly say, that I have never loved my hair this much in my life!! It was a huge change for me, but I knew that I could trust him from the moment that i sat in his chair! I've always wanted red hair, but was afraid I could get that brassy, orange color instead. Not with Sameer! He's great!!!

*WASH YOUR HAIR WITH COOL WATER
*USE DAVINES RED SHAMPOO, AND RED CONDITIONER( BRIGHTENS, AND TONES RED HAIR)
*TRY NOT TO WASH YOUR HAIR AS OFTEN, TO KEEP COLOR LASTING LONGER
*BUY RENEE FURTURER DRY SHAMPOO (IT'S A SPRAY FOR YOUR ROOTS, THAT REMOVES OIL, AND MAKES YOUR HAIR LOOK CLEAN : )

I was at square one mall killing some time while my car was getting detailed, when i noticed this lady with beautiful long light blonde hair . I approached her to ask if it was natural, and she told me that if i had seen her hair a couple hours prior, i'd be laughing at her instead of giving her compliments. She told me she tried to do her own color on the weekend and made a total mess of it, and she had just walked out of Jason Michael's salon in square one after a two hour colour correction by the owner (Giuseppe) that brought her hair colour back to a very nice blonde level and without any breakage. She was so excited , and when i asked her where the salon was , she took me to the salon to introduce me to him.....After a long consultation , i was convinced , and decided to lighten my hair and also cut it . He proceded by showing me two different strand tests and after using one formula for the roots and a different one for the ends , i had a beautiful light tone shade as well and without using bleach or toner....Simply amazing result, and after the cut and blow dry even better.....As i walked towards the front desk to pay, i realized i never asked how much this would all cost, but i was willing to pay anything because i've never been so happy to walk out of a salon.............I was so surprised , when the receptionist told me the total was only $150.00 plus tax , honestly, i thought it would be way more than that(no complain on my part). The receptionist explained to me that they were having a special promotion and that it would last for the whole year of 2012. I was extatic, took extra business cards to recommend friends, as they also have a referral program that entitles you to get further discounts, and i personally could use some of those.............Thank you Giuseppe, and also your assistant for taking care of me with a wonderful scalp massage..........

I JUST MOVED INTO A NEW CONDO NEAR SQUARE ONE MALL IN MISSISSAUGA AND I WAS VERY ANXIOUS ABOUT GOING TO A NEW SALON. I'VE BEEN GOING TO THE SAME STYLIST IN YORKVILLE FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS ,THUS MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO TRUST SOMEONE NEW. I WENT TO TWO SALONS IN THE MALL, EXPLAINED TO THE RECEPTIONISTS MY DILEMMA , AND WALKED OUT OF BOTH WITH A BROCHURE IN HAND, LISTING PRICES AND SERVICES, WHICH I COULD'VE DOWNLOADED MYSELF FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE WEBSITES. FEELING FRUSTRATED I DECIDED TO GO TO TIM HORTONS FOR A COFFEE, AND WHILE WAITING IN THE LONG LINE I NOTICED JASON MICHAEL'S SALON. I WENT IN, TOLD THE RECEPTIONIST ABOUT MY SITUATION,AND INSTEAD OF HANDING ME ANOTHER BROCHURE, SHE ACTUALLY INTRODUCED ME TO A STYLIST,BY THE NAME OF ROSS. HE INVITED ME TO HAVE A TOUR OF THE SALON AND OFFERED A FREE HAIR AND SCALP CONSULTATION . HE COMPLIMENTED MY HAIRCUT AND COLOR, AND ALSO TOLD ME MY HAIR WAS IN GREAT CONDITION. HE DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME ANYTHING , AND HIS HONESTY AND KNOWLEDGE MADE ME FEEL AT EASE. I ASKED HIM IF HE COULD DO A CUT FOR ME , AND EVEN THOUGH HE WAS BOOKED TO GO TO LUNCH, HE SAID HE WOULD. HE GAVE ME A GREAT CUT , AND HE ALSO DID A STRAND TEST TO SHOW ME A HIGHLIGHT TONE THAT WOULD COMPLIMENT MY COLOR. SINCE HIS NEXT CLIENT WAS ALREADY THERE, HE INTRODUCED ME TO ANOTHER STYLIST(CAN'T REMEMBER HIS NAME) , MIXED THE FORMULA AND GAVE HIM INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW. ROSS SET THE TIMING AND CHECKED ON ME SEVERAL TIMES . HE ALSO OFFERED ME A FREE SCALP AND HAIR TREATMENT. IN THE END I WAS HAPPY WITH MY SERVICE AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JASON MICHAEL'S SALON.
