My rating is zero!!!!! I spent an enormous amount of money in this salon for a cut and colour because I allowed my stylist to upsell me an entire line of products. My mistake. Turns out I wasn't happy with the results which happens sometimes. The owner however, wouldn't stand behind the products his staff person sold to me and accused me of making my hair look bad the day that he was to assess it. They are quick to take your money, to prey on people wanting to look better and feel better. I should have known this was a bad salon when every time I've walked in there I saw five stylists just standing around. I guess that's why they have to push the products so aggressively.

My second mistake was not doing my homework before my first appointment and looking for reviews on line. I was shocked to find a ton of people have also been ripped off by Jason Michaels salon. The owner was so slick when I got angry I knew he had done this before many times.

Do yourself a favour, seriously, go somewhere else.

I had my husband's Christmas work party on Dec 22rd, and my stylist was on vacation, so I needed to find someone who could do a trendy, updo for me, and had no idea where to go.
I always love the way my sister's hair looks, so I asked her where she goes, and she said to this salon.
I made an appointment, because she said they are usually pretty busy, and I saw a stylist by the name of Diana.
I brought in a photo of an updo that I found online of an updo that Angelina Jolie wore, and she was able to get it just right!!!
They had the cutest jewllery and hair accessories for sale there, so I bought a pretty flower brooch, and Diana put it in for me, adding an elegant touch!
I was going to go to MAc to have my make-up done, but Diana mentioned that she does make up as well, so I had her do it for me. It was so relaxing to have 1 person do everything for you, ratehr than run around the mall, and tipping ten different people who help you. It was a great experience, and she did an amazing job!!
I had a lovely expereince, and will be returning here in 2 weeks, to have my color done, and to do the semi permanent straightening (lasts 3 months or so) that Diana recommended for me, so that my hair is silkier, shinier, and less frizzy, so that when i go to the Dominican in February, my hair won't be a disaster!!

I was recommended here by my best friend, who is muslim, like myself, who just had her color, highlites and cut done at Jason Michaels, in a new private room that they have for ladies only.

She could not stop talking about how pleasant the staff was, and that her stylist, Angela, was just amazing. She said Angela made her a coffee while she had her hair done, gave her magazines, and gave her her full attention, ensuring that her hair would look perfect when she walked out.

I was in earlier today to buy 2 gift certificates for Christmas for my mom and sister, who also wear a headscarf. I spoke with a very nice gentleman named Louis.

He even offered to show me the private area for women, and it looks great!!!!!
He then explained a few popular holiday gift packages, and helped me to make a decision on which ones to buy for my mom and sister.

I am really happy to have found this salon, and i think the fact that they have built a seperate area for women who wear the hijab, is just awesome, and I will definately spread the word, because us ladies know how hard it is to find a nice salon that can accomodate our needs!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! I went a couple of days ago to get a color correction from black to brown. Needless to say my hair is now RED (that's right, not black or brown). When she couldn't figure out how to strip it, she ended up just bleaching it! She promised me that it would take me 3 hours to get my hair done, and it would cost $350. WHAT A LIE! FIVE hours laters and $450 later I was walking out with red hair! And it's three different shades of red!! I've gotten my hair corrected before and have never had such a negative experience, or a high bill. I called them today to find out why my bill was so much... she told me that they charged me for a blow dry and style because I had booked a hair cut appointment which I couldn't go through with it because I was already two hours late. DISGUSTING!! Then the hair dresser gives me attitude because I can't afford to buy her shampoo and conditioner!! SERIOUSLY!! $450 for hair I didn't want!

DO NOT GO THERE! I went there 2 weeks ago for highlights and cut. Well, first of all, the guy who did the "job" couldn't stop talking badly about my previous hairstylist (who is pretty good but didn't have time for me that day), besides the fact that he was annoying me for not being professional when talking about his "colleague", he also was trying to sell products (shampoos, sprays, etc) all the time and couldn't stop asking me to do other things (such as different treatments for my hair) and of course, pay him more! Well, in the end, I paid CAD$304 for so-so job and someone talking all the time! I will never go back again!

WARNING ...... BEWARE ....... People at Jason Michaels Hair Salon in Square One Shopping Mall - Mississauga are experts in squeezing out money out of your pockets even before you have realized you have been duped by their poor quality of service ...... The word DISCOUNT for them means CHEAP BUSINESS TACTICS like "saving you a few bucks by getting you the service you want through a trainee / Junior Hair Dresser" ..... Ultimately, You go back to them to compalin and they are experts in blaming it back on you and demand more money to rectify the damage done by them ....... In no way are you going to get good quality service here for a reasonable price ...... I had a nightmarish experience this month with this salon and ended up paying another hair salon to rectify what these people messed up !!!!

The first Salon that actually knows what it's doing! I got a fabulous haircut from Deidre...she's amazing. She knew exactly what she was talking about. She was friendly, informative and factual. She told me exactly what to do and not to do in order to maintain healthy hair. She's really sweet. I initially called in to set up the appointment and spoke to a gentlemen named Louie...he was very friendly and rather humourous. I would recommend Jason Michaels in a heartbeat to anyone. You know you are in good hands there!:D

I recently decided to go to Jason Michael's for a haircut. They are located in Square One in Mississauga. Deidre did a fantastic job with my cut and blow dry. She was very professional, and you can definitely tell that she knows how to handle her scissors. She didn't talk a lot either, which I actually liked, and nothing's worse than a really chatty hairdresser. My hair has never looked better after she finished my blow dry. She put volume in my otherwise limp hair. All the ladies who work in the salon are definitely very talented. I saw so many ladies walk out with pretty hair! Although the price is pretty steep at $58 + tip, I will go back here again. To me, going to Jason Michael's means a guaranteed good hair day.
