I ordered the vegetarian empanada and it was incredible!
the place itself scared me a little because it was so tacky and run down, but the food was amazing for the price I paid. when i'm in the area, i'll certainly be back!

This is not a fancy place, but the food is authentically Chilean (just like my mother-in-law's home cooking) and delicious. The prices are excellent too. It's a great place to go for a quick and simple lunch. I recommend the empanadas, the "Pastel de Choclo" (corn pie) and for dessert, the alfajores. The Chilean salad, with lettuce, tomato, onion and avocado is also very good, and a healthier choice.

The food was amazing! I had the beef empanada and a vegetable empanada, both 3.99 each. They were huge, and I could barely finish both of them (In fact, I couldn't finish them. I had my friend help me with eating half of it!)
My friend had something cornlike wrapped in some leaves which tastes GREAT. I would definitely go back, maybe on a day when it's not so hot, so we can sit outside! (inside is even hotter).
