My wife, a very practical and well spoken individual, had an incredibly horrific experience.....and is concerned that she lost most of two of her molars unnecessarily.
She had seen a previous dentist recently before moving to the area and was told she had a very minor spot on one of her back teeth. she was under the impression it was very minor, by the end of the appointment they had ground down two of her teeth to almost nothing.
I worry that after spending so much on her orthodontic work, she lost her teeth to over charging insurance availability with unnecessary service.
Upon further research I have learned that this is more common among larger dental offices with multiple Dentists.
While larger offices might reduce costs per Dentist, I dont know that they save the end user or insurance any money...and the larger the organisation the more likely you and you info can get lost or miscommunicated in it
I don't know where to begin about this dental clinic. I hadn't had a visit to a dentist in a few years since I moved out this way. Therefore I had a few fillings and cavities to be repaired but overall my teeth were bright white and in good shape. My first experience there was a good one, the people I dealt with were friendly and gentle and took in consideration that I was a little nervous as a patient. After my second visit things started to get a little complicated. The work they had been doing (small fillings) kept falling apart, and the areas around where they had worked were chipping. I had always been given injections to numb the area however I could tell as they were working with the drill that the dentist was starting to get sloppy and would slightly hit other teeth when pulling the drill in and out of my mouth, by coincidence the same area they had hit by accident would chip. When I explained the issue over the phone I was told that the cost would be covered. I would then go in, have the dentist repair the issue that THEY caused, and after the appointment was over they would show me to the accounts room to PAY!!! They would then make up stories trying to tell me that they hadn't worked in that area and it was not caused by poor workmanship. This happened several times to the point where I had 10 appointments in 3 weeks because my teeth were falling apart. My mouth had become so sore to the point where I could not eat and my head pounded daily. My teeth had never been sensitive before and now I could barely drink a glass of water. I called the clinic in tears, explaining that this was my mouth, these were my teeth, I only have one set and I feel as though I would have none left by the end of the year if I continued to go there. I was not being offensive or bad mouthing them (even though I had every right to). The response I received back from the receptionist was "Well.... I don't know what to tell you!" in a rude, insenstive tone. At that point I had had it with this company. Thousands of dollars I spent at this clinic and this is the treatment I get. I signed up originially in summer of 2013 for a cleaning and by february 2014 my mouth was falling apart!! I decided to go to a new clinic only to find out that he was disgusted with the work completed on my mouth and that he would have to re-do everything! I am also finding out that I infact did not have cavities in areas worked on. I am now filing a law suit against this clinic, my advice is to stay away!!
