I was a member of this gym for over two years until recently. I canceled my membership and joined Extreme Fitness. I had a great rate at this gym. It was $50 a month! That's because I signed up at a great time when they were trying to draw clients. I was worried about how I would feel about a gym in the basement of the building. It didn't bother me at all. They have pretty good equipment. The treadmills are fantastic. They're different than the ordinary ones you see in gyms. The classes were good as well. Hard but got the job done. One of my complaints about this gym is that there aren't enough classes. I'm one of those people who needs classes to keep the motivation going. The bathrooms are nice although my husband said that in the mens, they often didn't have hot water. There were a lot of private shower rooms with a toilet too. It felt a little bit like a home bathroom. Why I left this gym is due to the following:
1) Lack of energy in the gym (from the front desk to the clientele)
2) Really bad music blasting, sometimes - talk radio!
3) Not enough classes
4) My membership didn't have towel service so if I wanted to use a towel, it cost $1 each time (I don't know, I think this should just be part of the membership regardless)
This is a boutique gym and does have a lot going for it but they could do so much more! I found myself not going to the gym for months so I was really wasting my money. I just didn't feel motivated anymore at this location. Maybe my membership just ran its natural course. I wanted something new.
