Las Brasas is in Toronto at 1201 St. Clair Ave., just west of Dufferin.
The food here is delicious. This is not a Mexican restaurant....the meats are cooked in the traditional Argentinian style, served with bread, maybe some potatoes, and great wines. Everything is wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, the music suits the atmosphere, and the price is quite good. The Parillada for 1 is $19, but is more than enough food for 2 people to share, and take home a doggy bag.
The only downside is that the waitstaff seem like they really don't know what they are doing. On one occasion the food was quite a long time coming out (and I don't usually mind waiting...I'm not one to be in a big rush). On another occasion it took about 45 minutes for them to bring out the bill from the first time we asked...seriously! We had to ask several times. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry. They are friendly enough, just not really well organized.
But the food makes it all worth while. Every time I go there it is a really enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended.
