Went in yesterday, Black Friday, to look for a dress for a winter formal with my daughter. The dress she wanted to try on was too high to reach so I ask the young sales girl as she was walking by if she was busy and her reply was "I'm ALWAYS busy". Then I asked her if she could get the dress in 2 different sizes so my daughter could try them on. She walked into the change room directly behind us and said she had just brought these down for another customer to try on. We felt like it was a huge inconvenience for her to help us. Never asked how we were doing or if we needed any more help even though she walked passed us several times. When we came into the store we were prepared to buy a dress, more likely 2, one for the formal and one for Christmas. Even though the dress fit, the service was horrible. I've worked in retail so know what it is like. Their employees need better training on customer service. We left without any dresses but proceed to buy a bass guitar at a place where the service was amazing. More than happy to spend $400 where you feel like they want your business. Will not shop at Le Chateau again.
This was some of the worst service I have had the unfortunate adventure of running into in a very very long time. It was actually so bad that I made a phone call into the head office.
I went in with $2000 to spend on dresses and walked out with $2000.
The young lady they had working their was terribly snotty and when I asked for help with a dress I could not reach, she simply said, "I'm sorry, it's my break" and went back to texting on her cell phone.
After my head office call, it turns out the lady was not on a break.. plain and simply a rude employee.
Went in to buy shoes for my wedding with my mother and the blonde lady working there made us both feel VERY unwelcome and had horrible customer relations skills. At one point she actually marched around the store asking who had left their coffee on a shelf (it wasnt us). We felt so uncomfortable that we almost left without the shoes. I left a complaint with their customer service people and they apologized. I had to order the shoes in a different color and when the order came in, I went in to the store for pickup. I went in and was immediately confronted and embarrassed about the incident in front of other customers in the store. She said that I had probably misread her and she had no idea what I had complained about... basically insinuating it was MY fault I had a bad experience! I was so mortified I left the store near tears and my fiance is in the process of writing in another complaint! They really need to up their game... this woman is a nightmare!!!!
After shopping at Le Chateau for years, my wife and I had a horrendous experience dealing with an employee when returning a pair of pants. My wife had discovered a split seam while putting on the pants for the first time so we returned to the store to request an exchange for an identical pair but she was accused of tearing the pants herself and made to feel very uncomfortable. We will likely never return to this store.
