I came here a while back and I had a pretty good experience. When i first got there, the vibe and ambiance was quite nice and modern. The service was decent but like Ali said, the food/service was quite slow. The entrees are in smaller portions so getting an appetizer is a good idea. The food looked and tasted amazing. I had a salad beets, tofu, soy, greens and soy sauce dressing. I normally hate tofu and refuse to eat it, but I enjoyed the salad a lot (It's means a lot since I can't stand tofu). The main dish and dessert was very rich and satisfying. You get really great food for a really decent price and I'd definitely come here again. The main downside is that the restaurant was really crowded and I felt like I had to talk really loud. Perhaps next time, I'll go for the patio.
I've been here twice. Once for an event where the service was really slow (the vegetarians got their mains while everyone else was polishing off dessert), and once on a date with my husband. In both cases the food was excellent.
The entree portions are smaller so you definitely want to start out with an appetizer. The Singapore style slaw is amazing and unlike anything I've tried before. I highly recommend that.
The ambiance is trendy, cool and there's a nice patio in the summer. I'd been to Susur before it closed and despite the fact that LEE is a fraction of the price, I prefer everything about it. When we went to Susur we were a table of 4 and the bill was $600. We didn't order outrageously. The bill at LEE for the two of us including one appetizer, 2 mains and a couple of glasses of wine was just over $100, which I think is incredibly reasonable considering the quality of food and experience.
We'll definitely be back!
