It's changed

I have been going to Lone Star ever since it was one restaurant in Ottawa (over 30 years ago). The food has always been amazing. You can't get fajitas that good anywhere (probably because of the tortillas - they are the best and still are) but over the years I have noticed the food go downhill. You now have to ask for guac and pay for the tortilla chips and salsa and while the fajitas are still good, they aren't what they used to be ever since they started to franchise them out. I still go and still enjoy the fajitas but always find myself a little disappointed that its' not what it used to be.

I have been going to this resaturant every month for about 8 years! Even more impressive then that, every single time I have ordered the fajitas. They are simply the best, and I never get tired of them. Why mess with perfection? I have always been impressed with the waiters there, and the food is consistently good. Definietly a great restuarant for families.

I have to agree that I wish LoneStar would expand its menu. There is one right around where I live and I have gone there with friends here and there and frequently I am left there sitting with a menu on hand and not feeling like eating anything on the menu. The food and prices are average for what they have but it would be nice if they had more on the menu to begin with.

Eh - I'm not really a fan. I think they should expand their menu to provide healthier alternatives!

This is a classic place to go, that I have been eating at since mid-highschool. I love the salsa that you get with the tortilla chips before you order your actual meal. Every place should do something like that to keep their customers coming back again and again. This place really fills me up, and I love that they have vegetarian options too, which is nice, because more and more people seem to be turning towards that lifestyle these days.

The only problem that I have ever had here was at the Kingston location. We had the rudest, arrogant waiter in the entire universe! He even [kind of] told us off! I'm not one to say bad things about people, but my god this guy was a real jerk! Because of him, my friends and I ended up getting our meals for free because he was so god-aweful. Other than him, I have had no reason to complain! It really is a great place to go, sit down, and enjoy a meal with friends or family.

I LOVE their free nachos and salsa before you order your meal...although recently they've seem to have changed there salsa recipe or something. I always say I'm going to get something different but I can never get away from ordering the quesadillas (best I've ever had), fajitas or their chicken ceasar wrap. We have so many locations to choose from here and the atmosphere is always fun. Try the margaritas! Yum!

I am a waitess at the Front location.Our fajitas are great, but nothing is healthy. If you want to throw your diet away and indulge, come out for fajitas, but be warned that nothing has nutritional value. We usually go on a waitlist, it's very busy. The service is not always great, we're always overworked. Tip a lot and remember that no bosy likes being a servant!

Wish it was closer - I crave their Chili Con Que so.

Maybe it's good they aren't closer - bad for the waist line ;)
