Overly smelly
I am very scent sensitive, so I avoid this store like the plague. But I was looking for I thing for my kids stocking and heard that was the place to find it, so I slowly ventured in...the smell was horrendous and not only did it bring on a headache right away, but my throat started to close off and I was having problems breathing. This is NOT a store to go into if you have sensitive's like me or any kind breathing problems. I wish there was a way to keep the smell from these stores out of the rest of the malls for people like me....woman who over do their perfume is bad enough.
Meh.. Just don't bother with them anymore. They initially branded themselves as environment friendly. After discovering other competitors I learned that their products aren't safe and have harmful chemicals in them. Also, they rarely put their stuff on sale and don't seem to care about losing business.
LUSH is a great brand because their products smell great, work well and are ethical. The design of the stores are well thought out and executed. Love the bath bombs. Unfortunately, with such strong and various smells, I tend to get a headache whenever I'm in the store for longer than 10 minutes.
The overly-attentive and sometimes "harassing" staff grow tiring in Toronto locations. I can't go through a store without at least 4 employees coming up to me, which indicates that they want to provide a good customer experience...but are unaware of who's helped who and when not to interrupt. That being said, I have encountered employees who are clearly very knowledgeable on the brand. I appreciate how LUSH allows their employees to express themselves, by appreciating everyone's uniqueness (whether that be in hair colour, piercings, personality, etc.).
This being said, I recommend LUSH's products, but advise others to buy online instead of in-store.
I can't even walk past the Lush stores in the mall without feeling nauseous - the scents coming from it cause an instant migraine - and I'm not scent sensitive! It is just way too overwhelming.
Too bad, as I like bath products.
The stuff isn't bad if you can get past the strong scents emanating from the store a mile away. I find I get a headache before I even walk into the store. It's not for me.
I liked the quality and selection of soaps and bath bombs. Their products are however heavily scented. Not for people that are sensitive to strong aromas or perfumes.
The only reason I'm giving lush a thumbs down is because I cannot even enter their store due to the overpowering smell coming from the fragrances they carry. If you have fragrance sensitivity, stay clear of this shop.
