I had my birthday here on Friday. We had a big table of 15 people and they didn't miss a beat with or food and service. The server was very knowledgeable, polite and pleasant. The food was the best I've ever had in any restaurant in Toronto. I can't wait to go there again!

This restaurant is AMAZING!! My friends and I had the best experience ever..the food was excellent and worth the cost..the drinks we very delicious and the overall atmosphere was great!.. The nightclub part was so much fun my friends and I drank and danced the night away and enjoyed every minute of it. I recommend Marlowe to everyone who is looking for having a great time to eat dinner, drink & dance without driving all the way downtown..its the best north of the GTA especually if you are looking to go out, have fun and stay local! .. LOVE YOU MARLOWEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

My boyfriend and I went out for our 3rd anniversary on a Saturday night and was immediately impressed with the warm welcome and decor. We just had appetizers and wine but everything was perfect. Marlowe has a good selections of wines at prices that won't break the bank. The service was outstanding. Keep it up!

My friends and I went for a bachelorette and had nothing but the best time. We were 20 girls and I guess because of the size of the party we had to have a pre-set menu, which was a little dissappointing but nevertheless blown away by the presentation, flavor and overall value of the food. The servers were all over us and it seemed that they were very well trained. The entertainment was great (we were there on Friday night) and My friend even got to play on the percussionists drum set. Overall very happy and would definately reccommend the Marlowe to anyone looking for an excellent evening out on the town.

i would not recommend this place to anyone... unless you want to party with a bunch of drunken kids. the bathrooms are full of vomit and water. they claim to be 21 THEY ARE NOT! drunken fights out on the patio with no security to be found! what a joke. this place is just waiting to get sued.
it took 2 hours, from the time of ordering, to have our food come out. we originally had 20 guests but had to break the reservation into 2 parts because we would be forced to use a pre-set menu otherwise. the two parties were on opposite sides of the restaurant!
the owners are scheming one way or another to rip you off. we were forced to pay a cake cutting fee because we didn't inform them we were bringing in a cake-- it cost more to have the cake butchered (pieces smeared all over the plate) then it cost to buy it!

Eleven of my friends and I made reservations to this place one Saturday for 7pm. Unfortunately, the weather was really bad making the driving conditions terrible. We were coming from downtown and were running late and didn’t arrive until a bit past 7:30. During the drive there they called us and said that if our entire party of 12 isn’t there in 10minutes our reservations were cancelled. We told them we were going to be there soon and we were stuck in traffic, but the hostess who called was rude and not understanding. When we all did get there within more or less in 10minutes the manager was impolite and insisted that they could not accommodate us. They said they only give customers a 10-15minute leeway if its bad weather…you know…even if it’s hailing ice bricks.

In conclusion!
The manager and the hostesses – rude, impolite, not sympathetic
I wouldn’t dine there if I was greeted by these people at the front door.

Marlowe is located at 155 York Blvd in Richmond Hill in a plaza with many other restaurants to choose from. I decided to try this place out and although I liked the atmosphere/decor of this place, the food is good but not great. I thought this place was a good choice for a dinner date since it is not your typical chain restaurant. I have been there a few times and at times the service was just mediocre...it felt at times as though we were 'forgotten' at our table. I don't blame the restaurant for this, as it could have just been the server since I have been there on other occasions and the service was good. Anyway, the end result is that I would go back again just for something different (other than the Alice Fazooli's or the Keg in the complex) but if you were to ask me for a recommendation for a restaurant in Richmond Hill, it would not in my top 5 places.
