I have very long, very curly hair and have really struggled to find somewhere/someone I really like to do my hair. Most places do the bare minimum and rush me, or argue with me as to what I'm looking for (keeping length is really important to me). For these reasons I usually wait far too long between cuts. It was about that time and I didn't want to go back to any of the places I'd been before. I really only needed a trim so I figured I'd chance trying somewhere new. I walk past Mazz almost every day and thought I'd give it a shot (it was actually between Mazz and another salon in the area but Mazz actually got back to me first. I still haven't heard from the other place) and I'm so glad I did! Everyone was incredibly friendly and warm right away. Jen, who was my stylist, is so sweet and really listened to what I wanted. I have A LOT of hair so of course the appointment went over time, but she didn't rush me and immediately made a note in my file to book extra time if (when) I return. She took her time to finish my hair and make any final touch ups. When i was done i asked about the products she used. She showed them to me and recommended a couple others, but didn't push me to buy anything at all. My hair looks great and I'm so happy with it. The cost of the cut was also pretty reasonable. I've paid way more and been disappointed. If you have curly hair and are tired or paying way too much or not REALLY happy with other Curly salons, definitely go see Jen. You won't be disappointed.

So I just moved to Toronto and was desperate for a new hair salon. I stumbled across a new salon at Yonge and Eglinton called Mazz. It was not an intimidating salon at all! Everyone is so friendly and they treated me like I was a guest in their home!

I'd have to say that I got the best blonde highlights of my life. I am a pretty picky person, and the girl, Hanna, got so close to my root with the highlights, and got the exact shade of blonde I requested. She also worked very quickly, without sacrificing quality at all. I can't stand being in a salon for hours and hours. After my colour, I saw Ashley for my cut. She did exactly what I asked for and more.

I noticed many of the girls had feather extensions in their hair, which is not something I would normally get, but they seemed so much fun! They brought me over a book of feathers, and all the girls together picked the best ones for my hair.

Not only did my hair look GREAT, but I felt as though I had just made new friends. They have just gained a client for life.
