Metro online: Be aware of fine letter in the promo codes
I received a promo code of delivery free+ $10 discount with an expiration date. I live only 1km away from my Metro store and despite the delivery fee is more expensive than Voila’s, I decided to make an order to Metro Groceries online when the promo code was still valid, and applied to my orden. The delivery was done 2 days later, so my final receipt was not incluying the $21.99 discount approved when the order was done. As per Metro customer services, promo codes are applied the date of the delivery not when the order is done, so if you like to order one week ahead your groceries, be aware you will never get any promo discount applied.
Metro Grocery Store is in KY opinion way over priced. Some items such as their snack foods are often double the price of other stores. Although they have everything you need I have stopped shopping there on a regular basis. I also don't understand why they don't price match...another reason I don't shop there anymore. The only time I will shop there is if I have no other choice or if it's after hours as there are many Metro locations that are open 24x7.
The metros in the town I live in and the town adjacent are strategically placed so that poorer families have no choice but to shop there and pay their ridiculously high prices. One is situated between the rich gated communitiy and the public funded family housing units. The rich people in the gated communities shop there because they don't care about prices, and the poor people have no choice but to go there if the buses aren't running or they need something in an emergency. Sometimes the prices can be as much as doubled in comparison to other grocery stores in town yet with no higher quality product. They even have the audacity to refuse price matching.
