I went to the Spring One of A Kind Show this year and really liked all the booths. If you've been to the one during the holidays that was is packed with vendors, this was about half the vendors, but it still felt like a lot. There were a lot of good baby clothes vendors. I like going up the food isles, I bought some stuff from there. There had a lot of jewelry booths and lotions/scrubs. It really has something for everyone. It wasn't as focused on men, so I didn't find there was a lot of selection there, but their target are woman I am assuming. Things can be on the pricier side, but it's great supporting local businesses and Canadian businesses. Everyone was very friendly and approachable and gave me a lot of great information on their products if I asked.
The One of a Kind Show and Sale is one of my favourite shopping events in Toronto (they have shows in Vancouver, New York and Chicago too). Normally the show goes from the end of November to the first few days into December.
The OOAK Show features a "market" type venue where local designers and artisans sell their work. I love it because I always find something unique and fun here! There is a wide range of artists which specialize in different crafts, so there really is something for everyone (you can browse the website before to get an idea of what each of them specialize in). I think of this event as similar to Etsy.com (online), except with a more personal shopping experience. You buy directly from the designer/artist, which makes me feel good about supporting local talent.
They sell tickets online but you can also get them at a discounted price from Deserres. The OOAK Show is definitely a fun shopping experience I try to get to every year!
Oops! I lied! There is another show that runs from the end of March to early April. It's the Spring One of a Kind Show.
The one of a kind show which happens twice per year is an amazing way to find unique items for you home. Anything from soaps to clothing can be found here with a wide range of pricing to fit all budgets. Personally, I found an amazing potter Deborah Doran to add to my collection on a yearly basis. Great for Christmas gifts as well. This season's show runs from November 26th through December 6th. If you buy your tickets through DeSerres- they're only $7
