I met Ryan Turner at Toronto Fashion Week, and I am glad I did! He gave me his card and I booked my first appointment. First of all, I was greeted at the door by a lovely brunette who chatted with me throughout my stay and gave me some valuable advice. I trusted Ryan with my long hair, and we decided to go blonde from black and cut it all off. Can I just say, I've never experienced an amazing cut/style/colour in my entire life! He displayed such professionalism but made me feel so welcome and at home in OSole.
He began my shampoo with a wonderful combination of shampoo and conditioner for my specific hair type. Then came the massage...it was amazing!! When he cut my hair, he was very accurate and although it was a lengthy transformation he made it fly by with his great jokes and warm personality. I will never allow another person's hands to touch my hair.
Complimentary wine really added to my experience and made me feel relaxed.
$50 for the cut
$80 for a combination of colours and processing...a great deal!
The esthetics are also fantastic and done by a wonderful lady by the name of Parveneh, and I frequent her for my eyebrow threading and waxing.
All in all, this small salon offers a comfortable visit, wonderful atmosphere and friendly people. Highly recommended to everyone!!!!!!!!
I came to this salon about a week ago based on the reviews on this site and I am so glad I did. Eric gave me a great cut. He listened to my hair issues and immediately understood what I was talking about. He explained clearly what he was going to do and I left completely satisfied.
I have been to quite a few salons (Civello, Toni&Guy;, Vidal Sassoon) and I'm very picky. I will continue to go to Eric now. My hair looks shiny (thanks to the amazing colour he gave me) and it has a strong updated cut that takes no time to style-it falls into place. I am trying to grow my hair (currently it is just past my shoulders) as well as my bangs. He gave me a cut that will help me in this transition and that still looks polished in the meantime.
Definately recommended!! I paid $90 for cut and $75 for all over colour. I am always willing to spend money on hair as it is very important to me so I felt it was worth it. I've paid more for cuts at all of the salons I mentioned I've been to.
PLUS-he is a great guy. It's nice to know when you are going to the salon and spending money that you are going to have a good time. With Eric you will feel comfy, have great conversation and leave with a great style! WIN WIN WIN
I came here for a haircut with Eric del Monaco and I am so glad I did. I met Eric at Fashion Week just over a year ago when Joy and I interviewed him backstage. He's been their hair expert for several years and is also on Project Runway. Eric is an expert in cut and colour and has over 20 years of experience. He is also a really nice guy.
I got my first haircut with Eric last week and I love it! He made my hair easier to style than ever and it was just such a fun experience. He's very warm, kind and modest despite the fact he's a pretty big deal in the industry. The haircut was $90, which is more than I've ever paid for a cut but I'm happy with it, so it was worth it.
The salon is simple but elegant with lots of natural lighting. The first time I came, I requested a last minute nailpolish change in addition to my cut, but the staff at the front desk forgot about it so I didn't get one. It wasn't that busy when I was there. However they are always very friendly and kind. The salon has more of a cozy vibe. The hair washing could be better (a scalp massage would be nice!), but the overall experience of the salon is very nice.
Overall, I think Eric is awesome. He is 5 stars all the way and I highly recommend a haircut with him.

I continue to come here to see Eric. He has given me the best cuts I've ever had and has such a great personality. I was nervous when I first came to see him because he is so well known for his work with L'Oreal and Project Runway but he is so kind and so down to earth. Highly recommended.
Let me start with the most important detail.
Eric Del Monaco, lead hair stylist for Toronto Fashion Week and Project Runway Canada, works here. I literally stalked this man to this location after he did my hair at Salon Daniel and then disappeared. Okay, I didn't stalk him but rather found out in an interview where he moved. Osole Salon!
Don't let the dated website fool you. The salon is great! Their professionals are dedicated to getting you the hair style/color that you want. If you leave unsatisfied, which you won't, they will make it right. Eric especially makes sure that everything is perfect. If he doesn't like the color, he will stay another 3 hours to get the right hue that works for you. If there's a tricky color you want to get - Eric is your man!
The salon does several other services such as manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials, eyelash extensions, ETC. I have not had any of these services by this salon so I can't recommend them to anyone. But if you want to take a chance and add to this review, that would be great and highly encouraged.
Let me know how it works out!
