I went to this shop this afternoon to get a 16 gauge barbell. The girl that works there was VERY nice and VERY helpful. She told me to make sure that I cleaned the barbell before I put it in (I already knew this but it is great that she reinforced it). I took it home, took it apart, cleaned it to put it in and the flower on one side wouldn't screw back on. I called the shop to find out it there was something up and the guy that answered, he said he was the manager, told me that there were no returns on body jewelry. I told him that I understood that but that I did what I was told and his product didn't work after that. I was not told not to take the flower off, which I now know it shouldn't have been. He asked what I wanted him to do and I told him that I wanted the problem fixed. He then had the audacity to LAUGH AT ME and told me that I shouldn't do everything that I am told to do. He then HUNG UP ON ME. I called back and asked to speak to the owner. He then told me "that isn't going happen" and that I was being unreasonable. I asked again to speak to the manager, very politely, and he laughed again and HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN.
I do not recommend this place for any sort of customer service, apart from the girl on the front counter.
I do not know how the tattoos are from here but I do know that if the manager cannot handle customer service better than that, I would NEVER let him have a needle to permanently mark me with.

This review will be for the one in Saint John since that is where I've gone to for everything I've gotten done.
The first time I walked into Pins & Needles, I thought it was a great atmosphere! It's a very clean place and everything they use there comes directly from the package so the risk of catching anything from needles is as closest to zero as it gets.
First, I got my nose pierced there and the guy was really nice! He did a great job with the piercing and he made sure I knew how to take care of it. He also helped me with any questions I needed answering in case of infection/rejection of my new piercing.
The other two times I went to get things done were tattoos. I went to both of the tattoo artists that work there and both of them are equally talented in my opinion! First of all, they are both very friendly and always make sure you get the best for your money. The prices are great! I only paid 80 dollars for a tattoo about the size of my fist and another for 70 dollars for a tattoo that included color and was fairly large.
The quality is great too. I haven't needed any touchups done but the other good thing is that touchups are free!!
I HIGHLY recommened this tattoo & piercing parlour to ANYONE who is looking for a good price, good value, and a friendly atmosphere.
