When I moved out to BC I started to look for a pole dancing studio that I could go to in the Whistler area. I found Poleworks online and have since attended classes with Poleworks. Shannon is the owner and primary teacher with Poleworks and teaches classes out of the Meadow Park Sports Centre. She also conducts stagettes on a regular basis. I attended one of those stagettes and was very impressed with how 'at ease' Shannon made the participants in the class. The girls were having fun and learning spins, walks and moves at the same time. Classes are for women only.

Poleworks combines the classic polework, dance and floor moves of exotic dancing with a focus on stretching and strengthening your body. Along with your favorite music and your very own unique style you are sure to uncover a new you.

As an added touch, the bride-to-be will get a CD of the music they leave pole dancing to. Blankets are also provided during the class so your knees get minimal bruising.

I would highly suggest trying a PoleWorks class if you are ever in the Whistler area.
