Excellent hair service and atmosphere

I was attending a very special event and knew that Privé Hair Gallery would be the Hair Salon of choice. Sylist Rachel did a fantastic job cutting and styling my hair for this big event. Crystal was welcoming and offered me a delicious cappuccino. Excellent service and hair style and very welcoming environment. Highly recommended!

They really care about your hair

I have been going to Prive in the Junction for a few years. They recently opened up this new location in the Kingsway so I have started going there. My stylist is Patricia, one of the owners. She does my cut and colour. I am very, very happy with the quality of her work.

I have been bleaching my hair from dark brown to blonde for many years. When I first started seeing her my hair was like straw. I had been going to a couple of different salons in the west end and the last one I was at had been too aggressive with the bleach, highlighting my hair every 5 weeks. My hair went from being in good condition to terrible in a few months.

The first thing Patricia did was make a plan for my hair that involved bleaching it way less, without me having the dark (and grey) roots I was concerned about. Now I'm at the point where she is only bleaching my hair every 3rd visit or so (works out to a max of 4 times per year). My hair is in MUCH better condition now. She does root touch ups on the visits in between that do not involve highlights.

This plan means that Prive makes less money off of me because I am spending less per visit than I was on the other salons where I was getting my hair highlighted every visit. But Patricia is smart because she recognizes that keeping my hair in good condition = me being a long term client with healthy hair. At the rate I was going before it would soon need to be chopped off and I would have been miserable. I am very grateful to Patricia for putting the quality of my hair above her own profit and because of this will be loyal for years.

As for the salon, it is beautiful and airy. Everyone is so friendly. There is a Starbucks across the street but they also offer coffee, tea etc in the salon. If you can't get an appointment at this salon they still have the other location in the Junction you can go to. Also a fabulous salon.

I'm very happy with my experience here and will continue to come here for years.
