I received the "SUPER HYDRATING FACIAL" at the King St location, in Toronto.
This was the best facial I ever had!!
This experience made me feel like JLO - honestly. It was an exquisite, relaxing, unique, and super premium experience. My favourite part was the oxygen treatment they added - I was pleasantly surprised how cool & fresh it felt.
I loved all 60 minutes of it, my therapist customized it completely to fit all my needs. I use all Pure+Simple products in my daily routine, so she even made sure she used all new (new to me) products.
The whole time my nose was in heaven. The scents the natural oils/serums have is glorious.
The only downside was my gift certificate was for an "Urban Renewal Facial", so I was looking forward to a foot massage as well, but that never happen -since my therapist customized the facial for me (giving me a Hydrating Facial instead).
Regardless, best place to get a facial hands-down. Right after the treatment my fine lines were eliminated. & today (1 day later) my skin is softer than it has ever been, feels lighter and fresher, and looks smooth as a baby's bottom!
I do recommend this spa if you are looking for holistic products and practices. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I always have a good experience at this spa.
The service here is amazing! I went with two people to the spa because one wanted to get some facial cleanser. The lady was so helpful and professional in answering all the questions! Then even though me and the other friend wasn't buying anything, she still asked if we had any questions. We did have questions, and she proceeded to answer them very in great detail and did not push us to buy any products. The service here was amazing and I will definitely come back for a facial one day.
I came across Pure Simple about a year ago. I read about them online and decided to give it a try. I went to the King Street location and saw Amy, a senior aesthetician. It was the best facial I’ve ever had.
Here’s why:
Expertise: Being an expert is more than regurgitating what you read. The staff KNOW what they’re talking about.
Principles: They take an Ayurvedic approach to skincare, and while I personally don’t put much weight in naturopathic medicine, Pure Simple’s holistic approach is based on real health principles and regular aesthetic practice.
Knowledge: They don’t push products, they push knowledge. I have been seeing Amy for a while now, and I trust her. While she occasionally recommends products, she never 'sells'. She takes the time to explain what I should do and why.
Products: They sell a wide range of products, including their own line, which I really like. They have high quality natural ingredients at an affordable price point. I am addicted to their Detoxifying French Clay Mask. It reduces redness, helps with skin circulation and can be used a spot treatment for pimples.
After-Care: Most times when you leave the spa after a facial, your skin is red and blotchy. Immediately after my Pure Simple facial, Amy handed me a mirror: my skin was glowing. In the following weeks my skin continued to look smooth, bright and hydrated. I was hooked.
Value. Their services are reasonably priced. One could always argue that steep fees at haughty places such as Stillwater are for quality service and the ambience of a first-rate spa, I would say you are wrong. Inferior service is everywhere, and snobbish personalities run rampant in places like this. Pure Simple proves that quality shouldn't come at a premium. The attention and care you receive far exceeds the money you pay. They also have monthly specials – how can you not love a sale?
Pure Simple does one thing and they do it perfectly. I challenge you to find another spa in Toronto that does all of the above.

Pure & Simple has by far the best facials in Toronto. I have been going once a month for the last few months and my skin has never looked better. I've always had decent skin but in the past year it' got very oily and was breaking out. I was trying everything to combat the oil but it was just getting worse! Thankfully I tried out Pure & SImple (after readying reviews on here!) and since then my skin has completely transformed. The staff are so knowledgeable and after my first facial could explain to me what was going on. Turns out all the harsh skin products I was using was drying out my skin causing the oil. I stocked up on their Pure & Simple products although i was a little concerned about using face oil on my already shiny face but, I'm so glad I listened. I 100% recommend following their advice - I've never been disappointed with a product I've bought there and my face has cleared up and my complexion is even and glowing.
As for the actual facial experience - it's AMAZING! They use natural gentle products and you get a massage to fully complete the relaxation (and make extractions more bearable!) unlike at other spas where you are just left alone while your mask is on. The whole experience is fantastic!
I first heard about Pure Simple when the I saw the founder speak at a conference. Right away I was impressed with her knowledge and and commitment to skin care.
I decided to start slowly with Pure Simple and went in for an eyebrow wax. I know this might sound a little bit over the top but it was the most enjoyable eyebrow wax I have ever experienced. They basically gave me a mini facial! The eyebrow wax began with a facial massage which completely relaxed me. By the time they waxed my eyebrows I was so relaxed I didnt even feel it!
I can't wait to go back!
I would definitely recommend it to everyone I know!
*** Editor's Note ***
This gourmet version of the eyebrow wax isn't technically on the menu. Pure + Simple advised us that it's something the esthetician did in this case because she had some extra time. For an amazing facial massage, we recommend booking a facial to go with the wax.
Pure and Simple has a few locations. I go to either the Yorkville or Yonge & Eglinton location.
I've been going for regular Urban Renwal Facials for about 2 years and I've noticed a big improvement in my skin.
The Urban lasts about an hour, maybe a little longer depending on your esthetician. Two masks, steaming, extraction and a wonderful leg, neck and arm massage. I'm totally relaxed when I leave and my skin is glowing.
Pure and Simple also sells their own line of skin care products. Everything that has been recommended to me that I've tried has been great.
I was invited to come and try their urban facial last week and I'm still floating from the experience. I kid you not, this may be the best facial I've ever had.
It is a facial combined with an arm, leg, face and scalp massage. I can't tell you how good it feels to have your face massaged. I have had my share of facials where the esthetician slathers you with mask and then leaves you to fall asleep for 30 minutes of your 60 minute facial. This was not the case with the urban facial. The esthetician stays in the room the entire time giving you a glorious massage while you pray that it never ends. The products they use are natural and they have their own line of natural skin care that is well priced and available in small or larger sizes to take home. I also appreciate the fact that you can purchase the facials in packages so that you can get a deal and schedule regular "Me breaks". In addition they have a loyalty program so you can earn discounts on future visits.
My facial was done by Kristen Ma, who is the co-founder of Pure Simple, together with her mother. There are several locations in Toronto and my experience was at the King St. location. It's not the sort of spa where you wander around in a bathrobe sipping tea for several hours, but if all experiences are like the one I just had, I'd turn in the bathrobe for this any day.
Highly recommended.
I was back again last week for a lymphomaniac treatment, which is a facial lymph and stomach massage. It was amazing and I highly recommend that as well.
