I was at the Metrotown location for my friend's birthday and had a French Manicure done.
The ladies were nice, and the place had a trendy, fun, feel to it. It's definitely for people on the go, and it's very non-threatening ie. you wont feel out of your league.

This, of course, depends on the servicer, but when my friend asked if her nails were dry yet, the lady used her nail to push the nail polish a bit, which pushed the polish up quite a bit. She didn't say sorry, nor offer to re-do the nail. She just simply stated that it wasn't dry yet.

So, I would say, overall the place is great, but their employees do range from junior to master, so if you'd like something more complicated done, make sure you ask for a more experienced person.

i love going into pure nail bar because of the friendly staff and the fact that you can always watch sex and the city while getting your nails done. i love that all the tools are in their own sealed packages but when they did the polish, it was all bubbled up and looked pretty bad, although i did get the base and top coat. i probably could've done my nails better. the polish did last for quite a while though. not a bad place to go to get a quick cheap mani/pedi but if you want the full treatment and nails to die for, spend some extra cash and go somewhere else.
