I came here after a recommendation from Ali and I got the Mushroom soup with Scallots in it (I can't remember the actual name of the soup unfortunately). The place was pretty packed which is always a good sign to me. The service was quick and I really like that. The food was really good. I got the soup and it came with this bread and the bread was SO YUMMY. The soup was also really good but I got it on a hot summer day so maybe that was not a good idea.

The soup here is AMAZING. It's so good, you'll even crave a bowl full on a hot summer day. Today I had the porcini mushroom with truffle oil and I can honestly say that aside from my Oma's homemade borscht, which is the holy grail of soup, this is the best I've ever had. It's clear others agree since lunchtime lineups can get quite long and it sure doesn't feel like there is air conditioning in there.

They have an area to eat in, including a cute little patio out back. Expect to wait a few minutes for your to go order, especially if you order a wrap. I tried the chicken wrap with yams and it was so delicious. Ravi Soups is now one of my new favourites in the Spadina/Adelaide area.

Soup/Wrap combo is $10.99 and well worth it. Highly recommended.

Ravi Soups makes the best soup and wraps I've ever had!!! They make them fresh everyday, so it's never re-heated and always tastes like something your grandma would serve. The soups are unique - not your average chicken noodle, but more like curried lentil and butternut squash etc.

The wraps are awesome too! They have this great free range chicken one with beans & squash - two things I've never think of putting in a wrap, but they're awesome together. The chicken is actually oven roasted - not a breast or deli.

Also, the owner is actually the person making the food so there is that extra touch added. The serve is good, but it's busy around the lunch hour with lots of take-outs, so give yourself some extra time.

Their lunch deal is a soup and wrap for $10.99. If you go on Friday between 5pm-6pm everything is 1/2 price too. They're only open Monday-Saturday from 11am-6pm.

Location: 322 Adelaide Street West (between Peter and John).
