Love the clothes - Not a fan of the return policy

I often purchase items from Reitman's on-line. This past Christmas I purchased several items as gifts as well as for myself. I had a couple of items to return and for the most part, I had no problems receiving the full refund. One item in particular, was on clearance, so it was at a reduced price. When I went to make the return in person at the Reitman's in Eastgate Square Hamilton the sales clerk told me they do not do returns on Black Friday. There was no one in the store, they were not busy, so I explained that I needed to do this return as I only had 30 days to make the return and this was day 29 and I live a fair distance from this location (which is closest to my home) and asked if she could make an exception. She told me to come back the next day. I did, only to find the store had closed at 7pm - I arrived shortly after 7. I went back for the third time and the same clerk told me I could only be refunded the last sale price for the item because I was past the 30 days and would have only received $3.95 for the item. I felt this was not fair. I had the receipt from the on-line purchase, I reminded her I had been to the store 2 days prior and again the next day although after the store had closed and there was no leeway. I kept the item as I'd rather donate it than get less that 1/3 of what I paid or it. Very disappointing.
