Whenever we are in the mood for exotic food, we go to Restoran. We love the food, it's reasonably priced and the amiance is nice. The only problem is there is always a huge line up and parking can be a challenge as it is located in a small plaza. However, you will not be able to resist returning. I do recommend the Malay style food over anything Thai in their menu.
This is my all-time favourite restaurant, I go once or twice a month. It's Southeast Asian cuisine - mostly Malaysian but you will find classic Singaporean, Indonesian (and I think Thai) dishes as well.
The food is delicious, the service is really fast and the price is excellent. I usually go with my boyfriend, and for the 2 of us, just over $30 total will get us each a Teh Tarik (warm tea drink made from black tea and condensed milk), roti and curry to start, and a main dish. And we always have leftovers for lunch the next day. You really can't go wrong at only $15 a piece for quality food. I usually don't have any room for dessert, but if I do I will get the fried bananas and ice cream - if you haven't tried this dessert and you like bananas, DO IT!
I truly have nothing but good things to say about this place. Definitely try it if you are in the area.
Oh I forgot to add that the interior of the restaurant is a really nice and relaxing atmosphere. The decorating is lovely.
Restoran Malaysia is such a treat. I recommend the Singapore chicken rice, which is steamed chicken, and rice cooked in chicken broth (yummy!). This is my favourite thing to get on the menu! The ambiance in the restaurant is great; perfect for a date or nice dinner. The service can't be beat either. I agree with everyone here: all the servers are friendly. The combination of great food and excellent service makes this restaurant #1 in my books.
A good friend of mine took me to this restaurant. The food is amazing and delicious. It is located in a strip mall but the inside of this restaurant is gorgeous. I agree with the other reviewer in that the service was friendly. It is closed on Mondays but give this place a try any other night of the week! Try the mango salad, it puts Spring Rolls mango salad to shame!
This is as close to an authentic Malaysian meal as you will get on this side of the pond. The food is delicious, service is friendly, and the recently expanded and renovated environment emotes a warm ambiance. Has definitely grown in popularity and you'll find the restaurant full almost every day and night. I highly recommend the roti, chicken rice, and teh tarik (malaysian style milk tea). To my knowledge, they do not accept reservations.
