BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
My daughter bought a blouse one size too small. Went before the 10 days as per their policy to exchanged and if I had to spend more money I would have. They did not honour there policy nor show interest in assist me. May be because I'm not Italian?! Will not ever go back there and my family and friends from woodbridge and beyond are informed.
The sale ladies are rough and somewhat nice until after you purchase a dress.
You have to chase them for updates and they claim to call and never do. Bad customer service and they lie about trying to contact customers.
They need a serious staff change.
How a business can continue to stay alive in this industry includes excellent customer service, honesty and being happy at work...this store has none of that.
If you're looking for pampering during your shopping experience, I personally would not recommend this store.
OMG!!!!!
i wish i read reviews before i stepped in this store. I had the worse experience of my life. The owner, some mean looking lady that has a Italian accent conned me. I asked to hold a dress for 1 day and she asked for 250 .00 deposit to hold the dress. The dress costed 450.00. She said she will not charge for alterations which she usually charges 75.00. I told her i just wanted to be on hold so I talked her to 100.00 deposit just to hold the dress and a neclkace.
I looked around and found the same dress at Melanie Lynn for 100.00 less.
I went back 8 days later to get my money, She refused to give me the money back and stated I bought the dress and it says at the bottom of the invoice no money back. I advised her I did not buy the dress I jput it on hold. Also i told her that she should have sold it since i did not come back for it. She got really rude calling me names and insulting my family although she did not know my family. This was my first time in her store.
Seeing she would not give the money back, I asked for the necklace instead. She refused to give me the necklace that I had on hold. Then, I decided i would get some custom jewlery instead. When i asked her sales girl for prices she came and added 20 to 30 dollars more of what the sales girl told me. I was in tears she is the worst business woman I have ever encountered. She has no class very unprofessional and money hungry rude woman. It shows in her face and the way she presents herself.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY.
The previous persons above are so right i just wish I read reviews before stepping in this place. I hope she will be out of business very soon.
She deserves to go bankrupt because of the way she treats her staff and customers.
She is a horrible business owner.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO MY WORSE ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to purchase a Prom dress and found the staff very pushy and rude. I found a dress and paid $570 for it not just a few dollars. We were told when closer to the date of the prom come and we will do any alteratons at NO CHARGE!! We went in with the dress and to have it shortened they charged $65 .......they went to say there is nothing on the bill about NO CHARGE for any alterations....first mistake because i believed them and didnt have them put it on the bill........they are LIARS. They called to let us know dress was ready......my niece went in to pick it up she tried it on and was horrible.......they were very rude to her.......she paid the $65 and left. She called me in tears so i called the store and was told well you have to speak to the owner........in the meantime we had to find a steamstress to alter the dress so it could be worn.........to do that it would cost $150......so in total the alterations ended up being $215. So now the dress that i paid $570 .......now was $785.......ridiculious. I received a call from the owner who was very, very rude told me that the dress looked beautiful there was nothing wrong with it .....i told her that they didnt do it right and she said we know what we are doing and told me that i can forget about getting my $65 refunded. The steamstress that we found to fix Romantica's mistakes needed the fabric they said they cut to shorten the dress when we picked it up it wasn't even the same color. After this horrible experience at that store ........i was at my hairdresser and we were talking about dresses, etc. And a lady there said i had the WORSE experience with my daughter's graduation dress and so i asked her at which store and surprise it was Romantica and again alterations messed up.
I will never go back there and do not recommend it to anyone.........its a horrible place!!
I had the worst experience at this store.
After leaving a $50 deposit for a dress that I thought I wanted, I was told that if I did not want the dress, I would be given my deposit back. I did return late, passed the 10 day period (which I was not told about), I was refused my deposit back. This was understandable since I came in late, but I also found out that even if I DID come back within 10 days, I would only receive a store credit or exchange. This, to me, defeats the purpose of a deposit. Not only was I refused my deposit, I was also treated extremely poorly. The owner of the store, and her daughter, proceeded to tell my father that "he should be ashamed". I thought this was disgusting. Also, Every time I had been in the store, the owners are talking bad about people from Woodbridge, the very place where their store is located.
While trying to get my deposit back, me and my father were criticized for living in Woodbridge and they blamed our behavior on that very fact. I couldn't believe that these people were talking bad about Woodbridge and people who live there while they serve customers who live in Woodbridge. I also did not see how the choice of where I live has any effect on what quality of service I receive. If I wish to be yelled at and treated like garbage again, then I will return to Romantica.
My advice to you if you are considering this store, do NOT leave a deposit on any dress. You will not receive a refund and when you don't, they will use the excuse "we shouldn't have to tell you anything", just as they said to me.
I recently bought a dress at romantica and they told me they had to order it. Three weeks later....the dress came in...they altered it and I was good to go!!
There were no problems at all.
Thank you guys!!!!
Worst Experience Ever!
I would never shop at this place again. The owner is rude, doesn't allow you to talk and everything you say is wrong. She is always right. I guess things changed from the customer is always right to the annoying owner is always right.
I bought two dresses there and paid a pretty penny for them. I was told they were going to order two new dresses for me. After almost 2 months from the time I ordered it they finally told me they arrived. Low and behold when I went there they were not new dresses at all the were the ones that I had originaly tried on in the store that I paid full price for.
After a bit of aruguing they told me they will order me a new one., Well amazingly the new one arrived in less than a week. Wow what happend during the two months earlier. Well thats when the horror begins. The dresses need alterations, they were not ready when they were promised, and then when they were ready it wasn't even done right. I could have done it better and I don't even know how to sew. I am not sure that the seamstresses they have are even qualified and if they are they must be on something.
This was a horrible expeirence that I never want to go through again and hope that no one else ever has to go through. Stay away from them, everything they sell you can find elsewhere and get much better service. This lady needs to learn that you don't treat your customers like she does.
They took our money and lied to us! We were yelled at, ignored and hung up on!
Worst boutique experience ever! I went in with my mom and soon-to-be sister-in-law to find my mom a dress for my brother's wedding. The attendant would bring over the most gaudy, garish, flashy dresses, even though we told her my mom looked better in something more simple and classic. Eventually we found a dress that looked nice enough but it was a bit out of our price range so we decided to put it on hold. We were told that we had to leave a $50 deposit to hold the dress and that if my mom decided she didn't want it she could get a full refund of that deposit. She called the next day to let them know to stop holding the dress cause she didn't want it anymore and the woman (who I believe is the owner) told here she could only have store credit. When she said the girl told her the day before she could have a full refund the woman hung-up on her. She called back a few weeks later to see if the store credit could be used at one of the other stores they owned (Bridesmaid's Bliss and For Men), and the woman told her she didn't get a store credit and hung up on her again!
Later we heard that the mother-of-the-bride bought a dress there for the wedding and was told one free alteration came with the dress. When she went in to get the dress (and alteration) the store was a mess and the woman told her she didn't get a free alteration and the person who told her she got a free alteration didn't work there any more. Eventually she was told she could have the alteration but it might only get done just before the wedding- so she took her dress somewhere else!
